Back from a few days' trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam! It was a really fun and interesting trip, because we see so many things that we don't see in Singapore. (: The Vietnamese like to call HCMC by the name of Saigon actually.

So here are the few main things that I have learnt about Saigon, Vietnam:

LONG POST + BIG PICTURES )

On a separate note, my LJ seems to be collecting dust. LOL. Kinda lazy to update these days, so I'll probably just update once in a while to record some stuff down. For the time being, my LJ is just used primarily to check the news at OMNTD. (:

I was away for a short trip to Genting Highlands with my cousins, only 6 of us, despite the many assignments and readings. What to do, I already agreed long time ago, it was too late to back out. But anyway, I was glad I went, 'cause it was fun hanging out with them. Okay, I'll do this in detail, like Belle's birthday surprise entry and Nat's post on her mad rush to finish her essay.

in 2 days )
And that was my short Genting trip. My Saturday felt quite long though. I think its because we did so many things and didn't really sleep. Haha.

Continuation of the previous entry...

more pictures! ) has already expressed her disdain for some of the food there, describing them as being cooked in 'hair oil'. hahaha.

It was so good please! nice and mango-y! yum.

Okay, i agree that this is really oily. And i do not like my eggs half-cooked like this.
I find the yolk kind of gross when its not fully cooked.

Breakfast at Mido Cafe. Despite being a recommendation from websites/ travel brochures, the food was average.
Or it might be because we didn't go at lunch or whatever to have a proper meal there. But anyway, the service sucked. I shall be nice and not point out that the uncle who took our order is there in the background of my picture with Nat. hahaha. Our food took like ten million years to come. Other people who came in later than us got their food first. But its okay, sandwiches are really hard to make, you know, that's why we let them take their time.

Now this is what i call, good food! (: Can't remember the name of the shop but i like their food.
Janesa thought their egg tastes funny, but i found it okay, just a little oily though. The chicken was nice, and i like the noodles! Yes, its just instant noodles, but somehow its different from the instant noodles that we have here. They call their instant noodles 公仔面. Cool right?! Ours sound kinda lame compared to theirs; instant noodles = 快熟面.

And that sums up our trip to hong kong! It was tiring, but i enjoyed it. (: And I'm very thankful for the company. I hope i didn't bore them or make a nuisance out of myself. Sorry if i did, girls! But thanks for looking out for me and everything. Love you both! (:

Yay, finally completed uploading so many photos! Now i cross my fingers and hope they don't appear as 'X' again.

Finally, after weeks of discussing where to go and going to different travel agencies to check out/compare prices, our holiday to Hong Kong materialized! Yay, we no longer procrastinate as much. We actually do what we say! Haha.

pictures, pictures, pictures! (a rather detailed entry, i think) )
And i shall upload the rest of the photos another time because i don't want my entry to be so long. its nice to keep it short and sweet. haha!!
