Its been a week since I updated, and frankly speaking, there is really nothing much for me to talk about. Which brings me back to updates on school. LOL.
Now I know what it means when people say that we will be busier after our recess break. Due to the fact that I was so super duper slack before the recess break, essay deadlines after the break suddenly seemed to be pressing in close and fast. Especially these 2 weeks when we have like about 2 essays per week to hand in, and each essay counts towards our final grade. And I know that I have said it before, but I can't stop myself from saying it again: I am very sad and disheartened that I haven't gotten a single A, I've only gotten B grades for all my assignments! ):
What I've watched these 2 weeks (for school):
Waiting for Godot
- I really slept during the showing of the film in the LT. I only woke up a few times when everyone laughed or when there are some sudden noises like that. HAHA. And that is when I realise I really can't concentrate when we are supposed to watch films during lectures, no matter how interesting they are. That's bad.
Persona
- This is one WTF film. Which means it makes you go "WTF?!" at many instances during the film. But, it is really super interesting. And despite the fact that I thought some parts looked like they're from a pretentious art film when I was watching it, I realised that they actually do make sense (in a do-not-make-much-sense kind of way, I guess you must watch it to know what I mean) after thinking about it later. I like the film, but I really need to watch it again because I didn't catch a few parts near the end. Reason is mentioned above, same as what happened during Waiting for Godot. Difference being I managed to stay awake until near the end.
Dirty Pretty Things
- We're supposed to watch this for HL104. And I like this movie! Haha, according to my HL101 tutor, we're to refer to stuff that we watch for Literature as films. But I can't help it, this is very movie-ish. LOL. A good movie nonetheless, in my opinion. I will not spoil it by talking about the plot here, for those who has never but want to watch it. (: Oh and I think Audrey Tautou is very pretty.
What I've been watching these few weeks (for pure, shallow entertainment):
America's Next Top Model
- I think I felt quite bored with it for the last...2 cycles? But this cycle made me start liking it again, I don't know why. There's like not much drama or very interesting photo shoots so far.
Romantic Princess 公主小妹
- Yes, taiwanese drama. There's seriously a lack of addictive ones these days. This is the only series that I'm catching every week. I think I have given up on 樱野3+1. The good thing about this series is that there's only 10 episodes, so no chance of it being draggy! I like. (:
Hana Yori Dango 1 & 2
- I decided to check this out after much procrastination. And like what Janesa said, its nice! Much better than the taiwanese lame Meteor Garden. HYD 1 & 2 = Meteor Garden 1. So that's why the sequel is good too. They didn't have the same plot as Meteor Garden 2. They just continued from where they left off, which is like the second half of Meteor Garden 1 (with the fiancee thing and all). HAHAHA. Gosh, Oguri Shun is so much cuter in this than Hana Kimi. Like, really not bad. Don't like his smile though.
Gossip Girl- Mindless, really shallow entertainment. But it is fun entertainment. Until Youtube decided to suspend the the account of that ONLY person who uploads it. So now I'm left hanging at... Episode 4? Damn.
okay so this isn't much of an update on school. More like what I've watched and have been watching. LOL. Well, I can't help it if school, or rather my life, is one big drama. (Excuse the sarcasm and the feeble pun there.)
My nose is still dripping despite the medicine that I took. And I'm sorry if this is TMI, but my nose is literally running like a tap. And you won't believe how literal is that; its like gushing out, man. HAHAHAHA. The drowsy effect of the medicine is kicking in though. I can feel myself getting light-headed... - wanders off to bed-
