THE INTERNET KEEPS DISCONNECTING FOR SOME REASON AND ITS REALLY DIFFICULT TO DO MY WORK.

WHEN IT DISCONNECTS, I TRY TO OCCUPY MYSELF BY KEYING IN NAMES AND DETAILS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE REGISTERED FOR THE CCA EVENT INTO AN EXCEL SHEET. THEIR HANDWRITING IS HORRENDOUS. IN THE COLUMN 'COURSE/YEAR', SOME JOKERS PUT STUFF LIKE 'BA(PRI)', WHICH I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT STANDS FOR BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE STH LIKE 'ELH/1'? UNLESS THEY THINK THAT FRESHMAN YEAR MEANS PRIMARY LEVEL OR STH?? ANYWAY, I GO BLIND TRYING TO DECIPHER THE HANDWRITING.

WHEN I CAN FINALLY DO MY WORK, I'M SUPPOSED TO BE LOOKING FOR POTENTIAL INTERNSHIPS/ATTACHMENTS FOR MY ASSIGNMENT. TO WRITE A FAKE BUT REALISTIC RESUME FOR. I AM SADDENED BY THE FACT THAT THERE ARE NOT MANY JOBS FOR ENG LIT PEOPLE. AND AT THE TREMENDOUS AMT FOR BUSINESS, SALES, MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS, MEDIA, ENGINEERING ETC.

SIGHHH.

This will most probably be a random post, because nothing much has been happening lately. 

Yesterday was the start of school! HL103 Survey of English Literature II's lecture yesterday could have been interesting. The lecture's content was able to keep me awake. But the lecturer totally lost me when he started comparing the different editions of our text, the Norton Anthology. It was just like, whaaat?? I couldn't stay awake for the HW111 lecture. I think it was the content. The lecturer kept going on about the different defintions of 'communication'. I'm really not looking forward to both the lectures and tutorials of HW111.

The weather has been pretty cold nowadays. It rained so heavily last night that the second I got off the bus at my house's bus stop, I was wet. And at the sheltered pathway, it was flooded like nobody's business. There was no other way to walk, so I had to step into the ankle-deep water. Eeewww. And the water level in the big drain outside my house was rising really quickly. Whenever it does that, I will think of what if I fall into the drain accidentally. Into all that gushing water towards the sea... OMG scary. It rained again in the afternoon just now. So cold. I'm like waking up almost everyday with a clogged up nose.

I still can't get any electives! Its like every elective has been snapped up. Now my only hope is that someone will drop the electives that I want. But actually I think that's quite impossible. I'm quite sick of checking STARS and seeing which module still has vacancies. So far, most modules don't have space already. I'm left with the difficult modules, which I don't want to take because that will pull down my already low GPA. Should I just...not take an elective? I'm very tempted. But the thing is, I'm staying in hall this sem, so its like quite wasted not to make use of it by taking an elective. I seriously don't know what to do.

I've finished Episode 12 of Why Why Love. Hahaha. I don't really like that series. That's why I stopped at around Episode 8 or 9? Then I decided that I should finish up the series. But, because its quite boring, it takes time for me to feel motivated enough to load an episode. I'm making progress! Something random, I feel so sad for 霍彦 aka 王传一 in this episode! I think he's cuter than Mike He, 贺军祥.

I just realised that not everyone orders the soft shell crab everytime they go to Thai Express. I think its a 2A01 thing. LOL. Cher actually ordered the soft shell crab at Thai Express for the first time in her life yesterday! I'm amazed. HAHAHA. Serene wasn't very hungry, so she didn't want to eat. But after trying Cher's crab, she changed her mind! So she ordered the soft shell crab that was without the rice, and guess what. It wasn't the same thing! According to her, it was soaked in oil and disgusting. Oh well. Order the normal one with the rice and curry next time. LOL. And she wanted me to take a picture of the guilty party and post it here. I don't know why. But here it is! Looking nice and innocent.

My internet is killing me by constantly disconnecting. We've just installed wireless broadband, and somehow, I still can't get internet on my laptop. And even when using my desktop, the internet keeps getting cut off. RAH. And you know what. Now my phone is like engaged whenever I use the internet. ?!! What the heck is wrong with this??

Whoo a random post has half become a self-reflection instead. Haha. Time for dinner! 

Because of the virus that jan_esa sent me via msn the last time, my sister went to reformat the computer as it was making the whole computer super darn slow and having pop-ups all the time. Thank goodness I saved my stuff in the 'D' drive, so everything's still there. But I tried watching youtube, crunchyroll and listening to music, and THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SOUND AT ALL. WTF. The computer says that I do not have a sound device installed, whatever the hell that is. ARGGGH. I have no idea how to fix that, and that annoys the hell out of me. 

Edit: I tried opening 'Volume Control' but I can't even do that. A pop-up came out and says that there are no active mixer devices available. What the hell is that man?!

GOOD NEWS: I can finally use internet in hall! Went to buy my LAN cable just now. I was so embarrassingly noobish when I went to buy it that I shall not reveal the whole incident here.

BAD NEWS: The internet connection is sooo slow that I can't do anything! I don't know if its just my laptop, or if everybody else is experiencing it too. Sigh. So I can't download my MSN!! ): It says Estimated Time Left (to download it) is 4 hrs 50 minutes. Like WTF right! -crosses fingers and hope internet will get faster-
