Y/N?
I got accepted to Monterrey, Mexico, for my exchange, for those who still don't know about this.

And...I would really really like to go because I haven't travelled so far in my entire life before. And I kind of like the idea of venturing into somewhere unfamiliar all by myself. (I think its exciting, LOL.)

But now I'm having second thoughts after calculating the expenses more carefully. It seems that I need about 15k after calculating the living expenses, accommodation, travel expenses including airfare etc, insurance, and various miscelleanous fees (basically everything).

My family seems willing to come up with that amount...but I don't know, I think its a little straining on us, the way they put it.

Okay, by now you might be asking, WHY THE HELL DID YOU EVEN PUT MONTERREY AS ONE OF YOUR CHOICES IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Haha. I put it down after seeing that the accommodation and things like that are cheaper than places like UK, US and Canada.

I guess I can always try to work my ass off during the 3 months holidays, but what if I can't get a job, man. I should probably get a tuition job starting now...but I really don't have the time to work now. Sigh.

Another alternative is to apply for exchange again next semester (and hope that I can go somewhere cheaper, HAHAHA.)... But I have a feeling my GPA is going to drop lower than ever this semester- I am super behind in my readings for this semester 'cause of so many things to do. BAH.

So...any opinions, anyone? Mexico, yes or no?

Alright, I think I'm stupid for asking this...

BUT HOW THE HECK DO I USE TWITTER?! LOL.

After much procrastination, I finally went to google for the website and sign up....and....now what.

Like, what am I supposed to do with it?

And... I must have the page opened to see the updates is it?

Someone please enlighten me, thanks.

Just now, I caught the 10pm show, 一切完美 on Channel U. I thought it was not bad for a first episode.

I caught a little of the 9pm show,  球爱大战 on Channel 8 (it just started showing). I also thought it was not too bad. (Though Joanne Peh + Dawn Yeoh = bleahhhh)

Then, on the rare occasions that I managed to catch snippets here and there of the 7pm show, 心花朵朵开 on Channel 8, I LOL-ed at some parts. (Though I did cringe at some parts because of crappy and cheesy dialogue/bad acting/lame plot/Zhang Yaodong's pseudo ABC accent. But that's considered okay because it's a Mediacorp family drama. You're actually expected to cringe at those parts, I think.)

Is it because:
1) I AM MAD.
2) My expectations of Mediacorp dramas have lowered.
3) Their dramas are really better already. (Wow! Kind of happy for them if this is the case.)
4) Nothing to watch online except FTLY makes me watch anything.
5) All of the above.

I really hope it's not the first option. HAHAHA.

Okay. Just a quick poll. Well, not exactly a poll, its more of a question. LOL. But seeing how there's like only about 3 or 4 people who reads my entries (people like Nat..KY..XY..), maybe this isn't going to get much response. But its alright, I love the few of you still. (: Hahaha.

Would you rather listen to a presentation on 'ambassadors'(normal people like you and me who just happen to be bringing foreigners around) of Singapore, like how they plan an itinerary for, say, exchange students in their school or a presentation on supposedly new ideas for those small islands around Singapore? The 'ambassadors' thingy will be based on experiences of maybe exchange students, who are brought around by locals, and we can see how their itineraries differ from the same old Mandai Zoo and Jurong Bird Park shit (hahaha, bird shit!) that tourists get from the usual tours or campaigns that Singapore has/had. The latter is about brainstorming for new ideas to see how those small islands can be used, in relation to tourism.

Personally I think the second idea is boring lah. Like, you think you can really get sooo creative such that you can give me something else other than the usual theme parks, nature reserves, casinos (hahaha!!) or whatever's out there that the government haven't already consider or plan? I think I would rather hear stories and real-life experiences of something concrete. And I thought it'll be interesting to see tourist attractions that has brought in much revenue for Singapore as opposed to 'local' areas that are not exactly being 'sold' to foreigners, yet they're areas that truly reek of 'Singapore'. But maybe its just me. Being boring. I DON'T KNOW.

And by the way, people. Guess what. I am so behind in all my readings that I am going to die. Its difficult trying to juggle CCA stuff and school and friends. ):

My job has ended officially! (: I'm so happy because I can finally sleep in for a week before school starts on the 7th. It was a good working experience, and I had an incredibly nice boss and collegues. I'm also better friends with Microsoft Excel now. Haha. I'm quite glad I took on the job, minus the fact that travelling time was way too long so I had to wake up early every morning.

2008 will be here soon! *We wish you a Merry Christmas...And a HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

P.S: There is somthing baffling me. What is it with guys' dressing nowadays? They are dressing like girls! And I'm refering to those guys in bright-coloured skinny jeans and equally blinding cardigans. ?! Its fine if they like what the girls are wearing, but it is so not okay if they are taking it too far by having the bright-coloured skinny jeans clash with the cardigan. And to these clones, someone should seriously give them a few fashion tips in order not to cause visual harrassment to others.

Since I'm not a fashionista, I only have 2 very-DUH-but-obviously-overlooked pieces of advice to these homogenous kids:
1) Please see if your various articles of clothing clash with each other before you leave the house
2) If you're ultra skinny, can you please don't wear skinny jeans? Unless you like your legs to look like toothpicks. But...why would a normal guy want to look like a toothpick?? And if that pair of jeans is too tight for comfort, erm, maybe a bigger size or straight cuts would be better? (: I trust that you have enough sense to not want strangers wincing at the sight of you in severely "breath-taking" skinny jeans.

Seriously.

Why is it that adults/parents can scream at you about the very same things that they themselves do?
