Sorry guys, another long and wordy entry. LOL.

Its been a week since Goal for Fund ended. What is Goal for Fund, you may ask.

RHB-NTU GOAL FOR FUND 2009 was a nationwide 5/side soccer tournament for charity. Proceeds go to the financially-needy students in NTU. And it was an event that we slogged for many months before seeing it happened.

tl;dr )

I really want to..I don't know, spill all the explicit details and ramble my heart out. But I don't think I can bear the consequences if they happen to google their own name or whatever and find this entry. /: So...maybe I'll rant much later on, and in a friends-only entry.

MANY THANKS TO GLENN FOR PARTICIPATING IN OUR EVENT! (: I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

And thanks, PANG NATALIE, for specially coming down to look see look see our event. You're the best! (: Natalie jjang! Hwaiting! (I have no idea what you should be 'hwaiting!' about, but it just seems like it should come right after. LOL.) LOVE YOU MANY.

And thanks, SERENE LEE, for dropping by with your china husband. HAHAHAA. So happy that you were in the area. (:

A quick post before I continue with my HL103 essay.

Yesterday was my first time staying in school on a Friday until 8 plus at night. LOL. Usually I try to rush off asap, I mean..its a Friday! But yeah, because of the BHG Bazaar, I stayed. LOL. Somemore yesterday only had one tutorial at 11.30am, HL211 lecture was an e-lecture. Speaking of which, I should probably take a look at the e-lecture. Haha. I keep forgetting about it. Anyway, it was super tiring yesterday. Probably because I did the handling of bags from about 10am to 6.30pm, with only a tutorial in between? I couldn't think straight when I was trying to do my essay last night. Which is why I gave up at around 2.30am and went off to sleep. Haha. And PMS is damn scary for me lah. When I was doing my duty yesterday after lesson, all of a sudden I just felt damn depressed, for no reason at all. /: But I still continued doing 'cause I was afraid there wasn't people to do it. After a while, I know I was going to burst into tears any moment and I was just, "OMG shit shit shit. Not here please. Ahhh." LOL! I quickly rushed to the toilet so that people won't think that I'm a freak. I think the fact that I was too damn tired from the previous two days, and that I didn't had lunch, contributed to the freak moment. So after that I bought some apple juice and then chocolate. It helped a little. Still depressed, but at least I didn't feel like crying anymore. HAHAHA. I only felt more like myself when the bazaar ended and we went to get some proper food for dinner. So that was my 'eventful' yesterday. LOL.

And today! Tsk. So much for wanting to finish my essay by afternoon. I woke up past noon I think. So like, hmmm not very possible to finish my essay by afternoon since I've only did one more paragraph in addition to my introduction which I did a few days ago? Haha. I ended up doing a bit more of my essay, and then I watched Atonement. Oh well, at least Atonement was freaking good, IMO. Haha! I wrote a bit more of my essay, and then I had dinner and watched Daredevil on Channel 5. /: I really should die. Now I will get back to my essay, and hopefully it will be done before I sleep. Hahaha.

Mundane life calls for mundane posts. (:

My HW111 presentation is finally over and done with! So relieved. I was like quite scared because it wasn't like the usual presentations we had for other modules, where we can just talk nonsense and which I didn't really prepare for. And the two groups that had presented last week didn't do as well as I thought they would, because when they spoke I thought they were not bad..but the grades they got didn't quite tally. Many of them last week got B- and B, from what I heard. Might not be true. /: My tutor is quite anal about reading from notes/papers/cue cards, so I tried not to refer to them so much. But its not that easy 'cause I will instinctively look at them for my next point to make sure I'm not leaving anything out? And I had some stuff that I quote from Dove's website (our presentation was on Dove and other beauty ads)...a bit difficult to memorise right?! At the end of the presentation, he said we were being too informal in our presentation. And that we sounded like we're just talking to our friends. Like, what?? We thought we were supposed to sound that way lah. And I think we're used to presenting like that. LOL. 'Cause the groups in the previous week were quite serious in their presentations, so we thought maybe he likes it to be more natural. But nooo. Men. You just don't know what they want. HAHAHA.

I've been busy with the BHG Bazaar these 2 days. It is from 9.30am to 6pm yesterday. NTU students, do drop by Nanyang Auditorium during breaks! (: Tomorrow is the last day! So basically, I was there whenever I'm not at lessons. Even during my lunch break. So hardworking right. Hahaha. I went to shop around today before closing. Whoo! I bought 2 bras! LOL! 1 for $10. Quite cheap right. Where else can you get Pierre Cardin for $10, please tell me so that I can go buy more. My bra hanging out to dry outside my hall room went missing. I don't know if the wind is too big or some idiot went to take it.  If its the wind, I wonder why it didn't blow my underwear away. I am sad because I quite like it, it was a nice yellow and blue. ): But okay, I'm happy because I bought 2 more today! Haha. I got a Hush Puppies girl boxers for $9.50 too. Think I will do some last minute shopping tomorrow if its not too crowded. (:

And its been fun these 2 days. I enjoyed myself even though I'm doing manual labour. Haha. I swear some people put rocks or gold bars in their bags. If you're still reading this/with me, our job is basically to tie a number tag to each bag (because bags are not allowed in the bazaar, so they deposit their bags with us), give another tag of the same number to the person, and then move the bag to the area behind us, and they will collect their bags when leaving, by giving us the number tag back. So it means that when its hectic, its quite difficult finding the bags because there are too many all squashed together, hence making it difficult to find the number. Then we will resort to asking the person, 'What colour is your bag?' or 'What is the brand of your bag?' OMG some people don't know their bags at all please. There was one person who said that his/her bag is an Ikea bag. We find like mad also cannot find. At last we found the bag because we finally saw the number tag, and bloody hell, its not an Ikea bag at all please?? Hahaha. There wasn't anywhere on the bag that said Ikea! And there were people who said their bag is orange when its brown, or said their bag is black when its pink. -.- And got one the best. She said her bag is white when its black. ?! And I heard that got people say their bag is Adidas when its Nike, or is it the other way round. LOL!

And there were some people who don't want to go in because they have to put their bags with us. So there was this girl and her friend who were on their way in, and they didn't know there's this rule. My friend called after them, "Hello excuse me! You must deposit your bags with us." So the girl told her friend she don't want to go in already. And they started going up the steps of Nanyang Auditorium. Then I commented to those standing around me, "Wah her bag got gold ah, cannot put with us." She actually turned around and said "Yah very expensive." HAHAHA. Ooops. It wasn't even intended for her to hear. Her ears damn sharp man. Haha. I just laughed 'cause it was quite funny at that time. I hope she didn't take offense. 'Cause it was really a harmless remark. LOL.

I was too tired to do anything last night, 'cause for the first time since my waitress-ing days, I stood for so long, from around 12.30pm to like, 6pm? Moving heavy bags too. 'Cause those who came in a group we just tied their bags together. OMG try carrying a few big bags with laptops and files inside. Shiok man. Today wasn't so bad because I had lessons and so didn't do much at the bazaar. Okay, so I must start on my work now. (: Tomorrow my manual labour starts at 9.30am. And there's only a 1 hour tutorial tomorrow. Whoo. I will last till 6pm.

This is really random, but you know how we always say Belle has a huge appetite? I found an apt term for her already. SHE EATS LIKE A MAN. LOL. I had dinner with her at Mos Burger just now, and she said she wasn't hungry because she ate before her last tutorial for the day. And she goes on to order fries, some prawn fritters thingy, corn soup, and orange juice. When I sarcastically said 'wow so little!', she didn't even catch the sarcasm lah. She still went like, 'Yeah I know its quite little, but I'm not hungry.' Hahahaha. What the hell right. I would have only ordered the corn soup if I'm really not hungry lah. -.- But yeah okay, she is Belle. AND SHE EATS LIKE A MAN.

FUND RUN '08 was
- an attempt to set a record in the Singapore Book of Records, by having the most number of laps in a 24 hours relay, of 100m each.
- a charity event, with 70% of the proceeds helping the financially-needy students of NTU, and 30% going to MINDS.
- not a complete failure, even though response from the public wasn't that encouraging.
- an experience that I have enjoyed throughout, learning many things along the way, even though there were frustrating times during these few months of planning and the event itself.

These few days had been sleep-depriving. I can feel my eyelids getting heavier by the second.

On Friday, we were supposed to be in school by 12pm because we had to settle last minute stuff, and to pack the goodie bags. I was late by about an hour because I couldn't wake up in time. At around 7 in the evening, we headed down to Youth Park to set up the place. I only reached home at about 1am, and it was because we have a nice vice-president who offered to send me and Kat home, if not the cab fare would have burnt a hole in my already small pocket. After washing up, I had to print some stuff for the next day, and of course I couldn't help but surf the net for a litte while. So I only slept at 3am. ):

On Saturday, the event day itself, we were to meet at 9am to finalize everything before the event kicks off at 1pm. Again, I was late because I woke up at 8.15am, the time when I was supposed to leave the house actually. Since its a 24 hours event, some of us stayed over. At around 3 plus in the morning, Kat and I couldn't take it anymore, so Kenneth(our handsome chairperson, as he always claimed. LOL.) kindly offered his, or rather his friend's, van for us to nap in. We set the alarm so we will wake up after 2 hours, at 5.30am to continue helping out. Haha guess what. We slept until 7 plus in the morning instead. And nobody came to wake us up. -.- It wasn't the most comfortable nap ever, 'cause the seats in the van were quite small and cramped, I couldn't exactly stretch out my legs, or lie down on the seat itself.  I kept  waking up to shift around, 'cause I kept getting a stiff neck or numb feet. LOL. But okay, better than nothing.

The event ended at 1pm, but we had to clear the place and load the stuff up the van for the guys to bring them back to school. After that, in our half-stoned state, we waited around for them to come back to YP to pick up the sound system stuff. (I think next time they should borrow a lorry instead, so don't have to make 2 trips.) I reached home at around 6pm. I am sleep-deprived now.

I guess the nasty details of the event will be in the next post, erm because I think the details (and I) will be quite unpleasant. /:

Oh by the way, SPECIAL THANKS TO XIAO JI, ZHONG SHEN, CHER AND ELENA FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DROP BY FOR MY EVENT. (:  I know most of you wouldn't read this, but there is a possibility that XJ might, so...yeah. I was very touched when I saw you guys, 'cause you all came when everything was starting to be a bit discouraging. I was seriously darn happy when I saw you all lah. I really really appreciated your presence. I know you all didn't want to take part in the walk/run, but after my pleading you all still did in the end. SO THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH. You all have no idea how much your appearance and you guys agreeing to do the walk meant to me. And even more thanks and love to XJ because you were so on about it, agreeing so readily when I ask you all to come for my event. LOVE YOU PEOPLE! (:

I also love the people that I had hung out with during the 24 hours. I didn't regret staying over because of all these nonsensical people. I'm really glad most of us got to know each other better through this event! (:
