So as you can see from the previous post, I have an essay due soon. Plus Susan just emailed to tell us that our assignment is due this week too. (Hmm I wonder if we still need to do the web page and print ad since she never said anything, but w/e.) BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO GET MOTIVATED. I don't know why, but everytime at this time of the semester, when there are many things due, I'll feel the urge to start on dramas. LMAO. When I'm super darn free during the holidays, I don't feel the drama itch. I can laze around all holiday without watching anything. WHY IS THIS SO, SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME. I want to smack myself sometimes for doing this.

So this is what I did for the weekend:
- tutored a kid
- watched all currently up-ed 6 episodes of Glee.
- rot online.
- went out with my family.

and for today:
- rot online.
- watched 2 episodes of Black & White.
- tried to look for relevant articles for my essay.
- took a nap for 2 hours.
- did intro for my essay.

In between all the nonsense that I did, I tried to read Capricornia, but I keep getting distracted. So its a big fail so far. HELP. T_T I feel screwed, but I need to do something about it. LOL.

Saw this on Tumblr, which I thought was really nice:
"I have this idea of what beauty is and what makes a person beautiful. Its what attracts others to you, that charisma, that impression that you can make the world right itself. That vibe of intelligence yet the ability to have fun no matter what. this is what makes others find you beautiful. not what you wear or what you look like. That’s reserved for words like pretty, cute, or hot. Beauty has to do with who you are as a person.

Awww. I wish I was beautiful, be it inside or out.

I have no idea who else has tumblr, but here is my URL anyway! LMAO fandom peeps shld know what my URL is refering to, I think.

It has been quite fun so far. :D Those on my Friends list, and are not from fandom, would be pleased to know that I think I have a separate outlet for fangirl-ing purposes now. This might mean less posts on fandom stuff, but we'll see. LOL.

Sunday tomorrow, its strange how quickly the weekend passes by.

I don't know if its a good or bad thing that the Circle Line opened. For the uninformed, the Circle Line links the new stations to the North-South Line/Red Line and the North-East Line/Purple Line (ITS LOOKS LIKE, PURPLE LINE!! GOT TO INTRODUCE MYSELF! Sorry, couldn't resist). So its like, Marymount-Bishan-Lorong Chuan-Serangoon-Bartley. Wait, did I miss anything out? Okay, whatever.

Anyway, ever since it opened, I have been abusing it like nobody's business.

Have to go Dhoby gaut, oh yay I can take the train and switch at Serangoon to the NEL.
Have to go Cityhall/Orchard/Somerset, oh yay I can take the train and switch at Bishan to the NSL.
Have to go Bishan, oh yay its just a 2 minutes train ride.
Have to go Kovan, oh yay its just 2 stops away.

Damn. And I was still one of those who proudly proclaimed my love affair with buses and how buses >>>> trains.

I'm such a.....HYPOCRITE! /cries and runs away dramatically

The good thing about the Circle Line is that it takes me lesser time to get to places. ITS JUST TOO CONVENIENT. And its not very crowded, I LIKE. :D (However, this means that the empty seats are kinda unnecessary to me though, since the ride is so short. LMAO.) The not-so-good thing is, I end up underestimating the time needed to travel, so ultimately, I will still be late. -.- How annoying. And because the train station is just right behind my house, I feel the need to use it all the time even though I might have a straight bus to a particular place. So for example, I have a straight bus to somewhere in Sengkang. But, to save time, I will take the train and drop off at Kovan, and then take a bus to that somewhere in Sengkang, because that's faster. Like, maybe 10 minutes faster. LOL. So higher transport expenses for that 10 minutes. Okay, you can shoot me now.

If you've read through my entire love-hate affair with the Circle Line, YOU ARE...GOOD JOB. (A pat on the back if you know where this is from.) To reward you, I have a hilarious video for you that I totally lol-ed at earlier today when I saw it. I NEED TO POST THIS BECAUSE ITS JUST TOO LOL. Here, its only 6 seconds. Blink and you'll miss it.

LOL JAEJOONG. )

(Whoo finally a post. Though its about pointless stuff. But I rarely feel the urge to blog these days, so I'm kinda pleased with myself now. HAHAHA.)

A short post before I sleep! I think today was quite enjoyable. (: Met up with JS and I had fun just talking and shopping around with her. Oh and we caught Made of Honour! A SUPER DUPER CLICHE LOVE STORY, but it was a sweet and feel-good movie nonetheless. I wouldn't say it was a LOL! kind of romantic comedy, but you'll just feel happy and smiley after watching it. A very couple-ish show lah. Hahaha. Patrick Dempsey is quite charming though. (: And the female lead (can't rmbr her name) is pretty! I usually don't expect much from romantic comedies, but this turned out to be not bad. One of the few romantic comedies that I really enjoyed. It reminded me so much of Proposal Daisakusen though. LOL. And also of this other movie that had some guy in love with the bride too. But I can't remember what movie was it. Tskkkk.

And this tops everything I've been doing these past few weeks. I met my sister, my cousin and his girlf for prata supper and WE PLAYED MONOPOLY AT THE COFFEE SHOP. That idiot (my cousin) actually brought monopoly to a kopitiam. The guy who served us prata looked at us strangely as if he thinks that we'll pay with the monopoly money later. LOL. Despite playing a game that I last played in primary school (and trust me, I TOTALLY forgot how to play monopoly), it was actually kind of fun. It would have been more fun with more people, but oh well, we got pang seh-ed, so too bad for us. Hahaha. As you can see, I'm trying to make that somebody feel guilty here. *bright smiley face*

Last night was one of the rare nights when I tried to sleep early. Like, at 12 plus. -cues GASPS OF HORROR, SURPRISE, SHOCK ETC- But my body clock's bedtime is around 2am, so I had trouble sleeping. ): Since I'm such a stubborn person, I tried my best to fall asleep. At 2am, I was still tossing and turning in bed. You can now applaud me for my sheer determination to fall asleep. Yay. At around 2 plus, that's when I started hearing this long stream of Hokkien monologue from the carpark downstairs. I didn't pay much attention to it because yeah, I was still trying to fall asleep. LOL. Then the loud monologue escalated to shouting, OMG. I decided it was too interesting, so I stopped trying to fall asleep and concentrate on the shouting. But by then it was too late. I had no idea what's going on, only heard repeated "C*** B**!" and "MAI JI JI SIAO SIAO!" Half of me, no, a huge part of me really wanted to go to the window to see. But I was afraid that I'll see something I'm not supposed to see. LIKE WITNESS A MURDER OR STH. LOL. And also, the paranoid me was afraid that the guy will look up and be able to see that I'm staring and then proceed to stomp up to my house to splash pig's blood on my door. Its overworked imagination at 2am in the morning, so please forgive me. Anyway, I also heard thumping noises like someone slamming on a table/hard heavy objects. And then another guy's voice! He sounded younger than the first voice (don't ask me how I'm able to tell, it was just...obvious) and he kept repeating "N* B**!" and "C*** B**!". Guess the lack of vocabulary was a common factor between both men. LOL. It was silence after a while and I had no freaking idea what just happened.

Later on, my sister told me that it was actually because of a guy, who took a cab home and didn't want to pay the cab uncle. And according to her reliable sources, the guy even tried to rob the cab uncle. Poor cab uncle. No wonder he was shouting. Yeah, my sister wasn't awake to hear all that, naturally. Like I said, she had reliable sources. Her source even called the police. LOL! Too bad the police was soo slow. I think they were gone even before the police left their post. HAHAHAHA.

A little disappointed that it was not much action/drama. LOL. Okay I feel a bit ashamed to think that. Of course I don't want anything bad to happen! Tsk tsk. But its been a while since anything out of the norm happen. God, some excitement in life would be good please. But yeah I know, be careful what you wish for. /:

19 January 2008 @ 02:01 am

Just a random post before I sleep. Nothing much to update, but I just felt like posting an entry. I'm not in a very good mood, because of a few reasons. Its mostly about the parents and largely because its the time of the month I guess. So yeah, when its the time of the month, its also the time of the month for me to wallow in self-pity. But since its late now, and the living room's lights are still switched on, I got to make this fast before the parents wake up and see me still awake. Which would mean the nagging will not end. So yay. You guys are saved from my ranting and all the self-pity shit that's in my head.

I went shopping with Xiao Ji and Cher just now. Or rather, Xiao Ji shopped while Cher and I looked on and attempted but failed terribly to shop. Not much stuff caught my eye, and those that did were a little out of my budget. I can't afford to spend alot, and many clothes that I saw would look better on skinny people too. So I didn't buy anything in the end. I was a little sad because I really wanted to buy something. But oh well. I seriously wish for a day when I can just have a shopping spree and don't have to feel the pinch on my wallet. Guess that will have to wait till I start working.

Next week's going to be busy!

Cyanide and Happiness, a daily webcomic
Cyanide & Happiness @ Explosm.net

Yes Christmas is just round the corner! (: I can't wait! Hmm I just realised I haven't even finish writing my Christmas cards. Haha!

I haven't updated in...almost 2 weeks? I've been busy working, aka earning money! Whoo. I hope to get my pay soon, because I'm really broke. And so for the 2 weeks that I've been working, my schedule everyday goes something like this: wake up at 6.30, reach my workplace at Jurong East by 9, finish work at 5.30/6pm, go out with friends/go home for dinner and then slack a bit, and then sleep at about 12 because I'll need to wake up early the next morning. You can see what this means, don't you. It means I can't be online for long hours! Its only on rare nights that I go home straight after work that I squeeze out some time to youtube.

BUT. I've managed to watch 恶作剧2吻, the first episode! It was funny and interesting, a great first episode. (: However, after what happened with 公主小妹 and 樱野3+1, I shall not get my hopes up again in case it disappoints. After all, I heard there's going to be 28 episodes! Hopefully, it doesn't get draggy. I really liked 恶作剧之吻. Its one of the few tw dramas that I really really liked, along with 王子变青蛙 and 战神. And maybe 1 or 2 others that I can't recall now. Haha. Surprising right, that I only like a few out of so many that I've watched. But seriously, there are some that I watch just for the sake of having something to watch. And a few that I didn't even finish the whole series.

Oh I went to The Singapore Science Centre on Thursday! (: No wait, I'm sorry. I meant, The Science Centre, Singapore. Haha! It was super fun! It was to celebrate Serene's birthday, and I think all of us really enjoyed ourselves. Serene, hope you enjoyed your birthday! It was memorable, yeah? Not many people celebrate their birthdays at the Science Centre. LOL. Everybody should go to the Science Centre again! Since everyone's last time there was during primary school right? (: Anyway, the Science Centre trip will be another post, so that I can promote its goodness to all of you. LOL. And also because it deserves an entry on its own. Plus the fact that XJ haven't send me the pictures. ):

So, I guess this entry is actually pretty pointless except to show that I haven't disappear off the face of the earth. Hahaha.

And I can't wait to watch Warlords! The trailer is darn tempting.

Oh yeah I almost forgot to add that ANTM Cycle 9 has ended! It was quite obvious that Saleisha would be the winner. I can't help but think that Saleisha would have some real competition if Jenah was one of the final two with her. I like Chantal, really. But I felt that Jenah was a stronger competitor than her. Oh well. YAY for Saleisha anyway! (:

I've got a couple of movies that I want to watch, but somehow I haven't. I remember I really wanted to watch The Home Song Stories, the one with Joan Chen and Qi Yuwu. But nobody seems interested. Most people just go like, "HARH, Qi Yuwu ah??" or "What's that?? Nice meh??". Then I thought No Reservations looked quite sweet and heartwarming, and after watching Ratatouille (which was good, by the way!), I really didn't mind a movie all about food. (: But I haven't been meeting up with people, so its just too bad. The Nanny Diaries looks like a fun chick flick to watch, but I don't think its like must-watch so that's still okay. And now there's Lust, Caution that intrigues me, even more so after reading 8days's article on it. But I really cannot stand the fact that the censorship board just must cut out 9 minutes from it. 9 minutes is alot okay?! What's wrong with not taking any parts out, and making it M18?

Its so amazing that I didn't meet anybody this week. I think we were supposed to meet up for dinner on Thursday with Janesa, but due to some unforseen circumstances, I don't think we are anymore, right? I want to keep my Wednesdays free because I want to go home for dinner. And today had some SF meeting which went on for what seemed like a million years because it was freaking cold in the room. Oh and I only just found out today where the Student Activity Centre is! LOL. It has a nice cafe that looks a little like a food court. Food is not bad too.  Nat and Belle, next time we can go there to eat! Though I heard that it gets quite crowded during lunch hour. Katherine says that its the nicest part of the school, which is quite true. At least, it looks new and modern. She was shocked that I actually didn't know that place existed. Oh well. I'm sure my 2 good friends didn't know either! (: And I was telling Nat what I heard just now. Some people spotted 2 baby wild boars in school! Near the NIE area I think. One of them said at first he thought they were stray cats 'cause they were so small. LOL. So cute right?! I will try to look out for them and take picture!

These 2 days have been rather pleasant (but still boring). (: Oh by the way I bought bus concession! So now I can take buses whenever I like! Okay wait, why am I saying all these? Tsk, you know your life is really boring when you are blogging about bus concession.

25 September 2007 @ 04:54 pm

I guess I should update a little on what I have been doing these few days. AND IT IS ACTUALLY NOTHING MUCH.

It seems like there's an overload of sushi these few days. Last friday, I had dinner with Angela and the rest, at this Japanese restaurant called Ichiban something at Suntec basement. Its like Sakae Sushi, though I think I like Sakae better. So I didn't really eat alot. On Sunday, I had sushi for dinner. On Monday, which was yesterday, Belle and Nat had this brilliant idea to go Taka food court as they were craving for sashimi. Thank goodness its Taka because that means I can eat other stuff and not sushi, because by then, I felt quite sick of sushi. But at night, after managing to get out of this bbq that I was supposed to go to, Jie Shi wanted to eat sushi for dinner. And there we were at Sakae Sushi. I will be avoiding sushi for now.

We finally handed in our HL104 abstract! I thought I would need the entire Sunday night to do it, but it only took a few hours. It was quite rubbish though. I just tried to smoke my way through as I only borrowed a book that I needed as secondary material on Sunday itself, so I haven't read it yet. I think I will need to redo my abstract after reading through my secondary source.

I joined this CCA called Student Fund, which I thought was Student Union at first (like a committee or something under it). It turns out that I was wrong. I just joined a CCA that's similar to what I did in JC. LOL. But I guess its okay because I like planning events. (:

My mum bought Goodwood Park Hotel's mooncakes! I ate one just now and it was damn nice please. The durian was like, really durian (LOL. pardon my lack of vocabulary.), and it sort of blends together nicely with the snow skin and the whole thing just melts in your mouth. The snow skin is very soft and its just the right texture; I don't like the super thick kind, if you know what I mean. Shiok man. Especially when you cut the mooncake into 4 parts, so that you eat 1 small part at a time, instead of biting into one whole mooncake just like that.

I shall go off now and watch videos on my laptop! I know how to get youtube videos and save it already. Haha. Its so useful now that my computer got no sound and my laptop doesn't have internet. So with my computer I can save the youtube videos, and then transfer and watch it on my laptop. Smart right?! HAHAHA. Hana Kimi, here I come! No wait, I don't think I meant that. More like, Nakatsu, here I come!

My life is seriously, hopelessly mundane.
