Wow, this space has been left to rot for like the past one month. LOL. Okay, the past 3 weeks was madness.

Firstly, there was the BHG bazaar, which was the same week as my Spanish test. By the way, my final marketing presentation and report was due that week too. Before that week, there was the journal critique presentation for marketing. As you can see, marketing took up a huge part of my Sem 2. LOL. And may I add that for my final marketing presenation and report, all of us stayed up the entire night at one of my group mates' place to do it, because we're such last minute assholes, and Kat and I both looked and acted like ghosts on the day of our presentation. In fact, we were just ghosts lah huh. I was so happy when the presentation was finally over.

This week, is hell week. Nevermind that I had Spanish listening and oral tests, a Shakespeare essay and a drama essay due, but my oral test was the day as the deadline for our drama essay. And next monday, I have a 3000 word film essay due. Good luck to me, I haven't thought of a topic yet.

So why am I here. Well its because....I decided to update about Juliana's 21st birthday! HAHAHHAA. WTF right.

WARNING: BIG ASS PICTURES UNDERNEATH. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN THEM ALL ON FACEBOOK, DON'T BOTHER CLICKING. UNLESS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MY LAME COMMENTARY.

A short entry before I go off to sleep.

EXAMS ARE OVER! FINALLY. It seems like we end very late this semester as compared to previous semesters. And the downside to ending late is that I'll lose my motivation to study because it just feels like the exams have been dragging on for far too long. ): I don't think I have anything positive to say about the papers...except that I managed to read more texts this semester? LOL. Hardly any consolation if I can't write shit about them, but oh well, better than nothing. (:

Anyway, yesterday was birthday celebration for XJ, Cher and me. I'm not really sure what to say about it because birthdays no longer feel as special now as say, during secondary school, or even JC. Maybe its got to do with the fact that nobody is celebrating with me on the 25th itself. (Since the girls and I already decided to celebrate together on the 26th when my exams end. And I don't want to waste their time by asking them out for just lunch or something. ) I didn't want to expect anything at all to avoid disappointment, so I didn't even feel the excitement as my birthday was nearing. And when it came, it was really just another ordinary day. With an exam. BUT THANKS TO THOSE WHO WISHED ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY THROUGH SMS, FACEBOOK, MSN ETC. (: Really really appreciate it. Those messages put me a little more into the birthday mood. Its really nice to be remembered, when people you haven't talk to in ages actually send a message, but I think those messages that made my day were those from my close friends. I never doubt that they will remember, but its when they make an effort to compose a message and send it to me that warmed my heart. (: Sort of like, hey we're so close already yet you're still doing this. Not sure if you get what I mean. But I actually felt kind of touched. LOL.

And to my girls, thanks for the presents and the card and the celebration. Especially thanks for the company. That matters more, really. (:

Now I have to catch up on my sleep since I didn't sleep at all last night, and today, I only took a 3 hour nap. Okay bye.

Finally an update again! LOL. Been feeling rather lazy to blog, because it always seems like there's something else that I should be doing rather than blogging. Then again, I don't end up doing that "something else that I should be doing". Take last night for example. I wanted to just go online for a while to maybe check my email and edventure, and then go off to read my text for HL213 today. Guess what. I ended up talking rubbish with people on MSN the entire night. So I didn't even finish half the book.

Last week:
- Caught 12 Lotus.
- Cancelled tuition on Tuesday.
- Met up with the girls for some shopping. Well, to get Angela's birthday present, to be exact.
- Skipped CS100 lecture on Friday. /:
- Olympics ended. ):

This week:
- Caught Bad Habits.
- Skipped HL207 tutorial and HL209 lecture. (This skipping thing has to stop.)
- Celebrated Angela's birthday today.
- SF meeting tomorrow.
- Most probably watching Cyborg She on Friday?

Today was a rush. I ended class and rushed home. For what? To do that CS100 assignment. -.-" 'Cause I know that I'll be out tonight and tomorrow night and it's due before Friday. Xiao Ming should be very touched lor. Hahaha. And it wasn't even considered a proper assignment. It was just some self-introduction thing that he wanted us to post on Edventure. But I guess I was afraid that I won't get around to doing it these 2 days. LOL. Want to read that self-intro thing? I think I sound stupid. Like, literally stupid. But oh well. Don't think anybody's going to read it on Edventure so doesn't really matter.

Yeah, so like, I went home just to type thaaaat out and upload a photo of myself. I amaze myself sometimes. LOL. And then I rushed down to Cityhall to find out that I was actually the earliest. We met super early because we thought Juliana needed to leave early. -.- Anyway, we decided to go Timbre for dinner and I think we were like their earliest customers or something. Hahaha. It was a nice catching-up session. (: Then, we wanted to go for a movie but we couldn't agree on what to watch. Serene suggested going for ice-cream but Andersons' closed their sitting area. Actually that's good or we would have really ATE ALOT TONIGHT. So we ended up sitting in Macdonalds' to talk. TALK TALK TALK. LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH. WA LAO. Eat and talk and laugh. I think that's the only thing we ever do whenever we meet. LOL. What the hell man. I think I talked more tonight than I did for this past 3 days in school lor. Now that I recall. This becoming-auntie thing is quite scary. Must be Serene. Hahaha. And that Angela. Omg. Become crazy after all the beer. But that probably meant that she enjoyed herself. Yay.

Okay now that I've updated and ranted about my day in detail, I need to sleep.

Time for an update! (: I was at Changi Village just now for dinner. Why Changi Village, you might ask. Because my friend is ah gua! HAHAHA. I'm just kidding. No offense to all the ah guas out there! And no offense to Juliana, I wasn't refering to you, really I swear! *innocent smile* Anyway, we were at Jacob's Cafe 'cause Juliana wanted to have dinner there as her birthday celebration. I think I quite like that place. Its a cosy small cafe, with a country-ish interior. The food wasn't too bad, quite nice in fact, even though its not fantastic or anything like that. But, if you guys ever go there, please go for al fresco dining. LOL. We were so stupid to sit inside, because later on, we realised that their kitchen is like open concept kind of thing? There's no door separating their small kitchen from the dining area inside. So yes, the smart asses that we were, wondering why nobody wants to sit inside for the air-conditioner, went home smelling like we just went for a barbeque. I bet the people sitting outside were mocking us. HAHAHA. Stupidity aside, I have to say that their service is good. (: All their wait staff looks so happy to be there, LOL. After our dinner, they gave us each a miniature bottle of tabasco sauce as souveneir, can you believe it? The bottle is damn cute. I think its to reward us for being so willing to be near them, sitting inside the cafe. Haha. But we sat there until almost closing time, and we kept laughing like mad somemore. I suppose we made a nuisance out of ourselves. The people probably had enough of us and actually gave us the miniature tabasco sauce as a hint for us to leave.

Sho-sho-shokudo! )
On a side note, I hate to generalise, but from what I've observed, Singaporeans are always the ones being damn particular about service standards when they themselves treat the wait staff like inferior beings? Talking to the wait staff curtly or rudely doesn't make them want to serve you on hand and foot, please. I don't like how everytime there's something, be it the food, or the service, that we're not satisfied with, the first thing we think of is to complain? I don't deny that there are moments when I felt like complaining before, but hey, it is not always the service staff's fault okay. Sometimes shit happens, so just be more considerate and deal with it.

Belle's 21st birthday is one that ought to be remembered. For the sole fact that it was a mad rush at the start. Very heart attack inducing. The surprise for XJ wasn't as difficult as this! But that was because there was someone with her all along to stall her and everything. Haha. Anyway, pardon me for being really detailed.

I was all for Nat's idea to throw her a Macdonalds birthday party, but it was too late to plan one already. So, we decided to just surprise her at her house. Janesa was to liase with Belle's sister in case anything goes wrong (the sister is so on! you'll see why later.) and so that her parents will know what's going on. Nat was supposed to bring a balloon(it was a very nice one!) and partyhats and funny shit like that. And I was supposed to get her present and cake since I'll be outside.

YAY it was still considered a success despite the many hiccups! Belle Chung, hope you enjoyed the quiet little celebration we had for you! (: Happy 21st Birthday!

26 December 2007 @ 11:18 am

Date: 20th December, Thursday
Venue: The Science Centre, Singapore

We were trying to think of new places to go to celebrate Serene's birthday, and ta-dah! So there we were at the Science Centre at 2 plus in the afternoon. Xiao Ji: "Wah Science Centre got more people than Escape [theme park]!" After queuing for tickets and having lunch at Macs, we finally started on our excursion. HAHAHA. But don't worry, we weren't holding hands, two by two.

The Science Centre was mad fun! Which explains the pathetic amount of pictures we took, because we were so fascinated by everything that we didn't even think of taking pictures. There were too many things to look at, too many things to touch, too many things to try. (: They really know how to put science in a different perspective, and make it fun for everybody, not just kids.

So here are the few pictures that we took. After taking out XJ's camwhoring pictures of herself only, I'm afraid I don't have many pictures left. Haha!

Now, wasn't that pathetic? Because we went to hundreds of exhibits, and they were super interesting! The photos that you just saw were just to safisfy our camwhoring needs. I guess they were also taken when that exhibit wasn't particularly exciting, and when we realise we don't have many pictures. LOL. So excuse me for putting up so many pictures of the same thing, just taken with different people. Hahaha.

We also went for a 40 minutes IMAX documentary about pyramids, mummies and Pharohs. Whoo it was interesting! I still remember when I was small my parents brought me to the IMAX theater for some galaxy documentary. OMG boring.

And our ticket included entrance to the DAT (Digital Art & Technology) exhibition. A pity Cher and Juliana had to leave early, because the DAT exhibition was even more fun than the already fun Science Centre exhibits! We spent quite some time there, and it was tiring. There's this really cool exhibit there! There are like two make-shift rooms side by side, and in each room there's a bed with pillows and blanket, and a tv screen. So when one person lie on a bed in Room 1, you can see the person's image on the bed in Room 2. So you can like smack at strangers using the pillows. Or sit on them. Because when you sit on them or smack them, it will be reflected on the tv screen, and it looks damn real. Haha. So you can guess what we childish people were doing. And there's another exhibit that has this cool gadget, which everyone holds on to one side. Then you can start tapping at each other and hear different sounds! The more musically-inclined would make music I suppose, we were just creating a ruckus by hitting each other enthusiastically. Haha.

We left the Science centre at 9pm in the end, to go for dinner. Because it was closing. We ddn't even finish looking at all the exhibits! And we started at 3 plus. LOL. But it was super fun..and interesting..and fasincating..etc etc etc. I enjoyed myself thoroughly! (: I think its been a long time since I had such good fun. So I highly recommend this place, especially to those who haven't been there since primary school, just like us! And of course, must go with fun people, even better if they're a 自high bunch. Haha!

The only group picture, and it turned out all dark. Tsk. Can't even see Cher's and Juliana's faces. -.-

Hope it was a memorable 19th birthday for Serene! (:
