SOMEBODY SAAAAVE MEEEEE~~

So as you can see from the previous post, I have an essay due soon. Plus Susan just emailed to tell us that our assignment is due this week too. (Hmm I wonder if we still need to do the web page and print ad since she never said anything, but w/e.) BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO GET MOTIVATED. I don't know why, but everytime at this time of the semester, when there are many things due, I'll feel the urge to start on dramas. LMAO. When I'm super darn free during the holidays, I don't feel the drama itch. I can laze around all holiday without watching anything. WHY IS THIS SO, SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME. I want to smack myself sometimes for doing this.

So this is what I did for the weekend:
- tutored a kid
- watched all currently up-ed 6 episodes of Glee.
- rot online.
- went out with my family.

and for today:
- rot online.
- watched 2 episodes of Black & White.
- tried to look for relevant articles for my essay.
- took a nap for 2 hours.
- did intro for my essay.

In between all the nonsense that I did, I tried to read Capricornia, but I keep getting distracted. So its a big fail so far. HELP. T_T I feel screwed, but I need to do something about it. LOL.

Saw this on Tumblr, which I thought was really nice:
"I have this idea of what beauty is and what makes a person beautiful. Its what attracts others to you, that charisma, that impression that you can make the world right itself. That vibe of intelligence yet the ability to have fun no matter what. this is what makes others find you beautiful. not what you wear or what you look like. That’s reserved for words like pretty, cute, or hot. Beauty has to do with who you are as a person.”

Awww. I wish I was beautiful, be it inside or out.

THANKFUL

I know I'm supposed to be doing my work, but I can't think of what I want to write for my proposal, ugh.

Anyway, I GOT DAMN LUCKY TODAY.

If not for the fact that Faith said she wanted to go to the library...
If not for the fact that Deborah was looking for books for her assignment...
If not for the fact that I was bored and so we started talking about our assignments...
If not for the fact that Deborah has a really extensive network of friends... (in other words, she "好友满天下" *ahem, Carlsberg ad*)

I WOULD HAVE BEEN DAMN SCREWED BECAUSE I DIDN'T REALISE THAT I HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT DUE ON THURSDAY.

...THANK YOU GOD. Seriously.

I don't know, but I'm really quite thankful for them. As well as for my other friends in school. I was initially kinda worried that I'll be lonely this semester since I usually hang out with Belle and Nat in school. And since Nat is away in Korea this semester, plus I only see Belle every Wednesday, I was all expecting to, LOL, tough it out alone. But I realised that there are really nice people in school who would help me to take handouts/notes when I'm not in class (when I didn't even expect them to, 'cause honestly, they're not obliged to do that), include me in stuff, sit with me in lectures, etc etc. Basically, BEING FRIENDS WITH ME. I don't think I'm the friendliest person ever, especially when I just get to know someone or if I feel intimidated, so I'm grateful for all these people. (:

Now before I know it, semester is almost over. Just...5 more weeks or so? If I didn't count wrongly. LOL. I don't care if I sound like a freak or something, but I'm not very used to people being so nice to me (in fact I'll get kinda awkward because I don't quite know how I should express my appreciation, like, should I just say thanks and move on..or..what?), so I get all 'awwww....' or 'OMG THAT'S SO NICE OF YOU' when someone does nice things for me. So... please pardon me for this. T_T

You know how some people will just disappear from your life after the semester is over and you're not taking anymore classes together? I'm actually hoping that I'll still stay friends with them. <333 (OKAY NOW, SOMEONE NEEDS TO TEACH ME HOW TO MAKE THAT HEART SHAPE THING THAT EVERYONE DOES. /NOOB)

WHAT SHOULD IT KNOW OF DEATH?

We Are Seven

—A simple child,
That lightly draws its breath,
And feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?

I met a little cottage girl:
She was eight years old, she said;
Her hair was thick with many a curl
That clustered round her head.

She had a rustic, woodland air,
And she was wildly clad;
Her eyes were fair, and very fair;
—Her beauty made me glad.

"Sisters and brothers, little maid,
How many may you be?"
"How many? Seven in all," she said,
And wondering looked at me.

"And where are they? I pray you tell."
She answered, "Seven are we;
And two of us at Conway dwell,
And two are gone to sea.

"Two of us in the churchyard lie,
My sister and my brother;
And in the churchyard cottage, I
Dwell near them with my mother."

"You say that two at Conway dwell,
And two are gone to sea,
Yet ye are seven! — I pray you tell,
Sweet maid, how this may be."

Then did the little maid reply,
"Seven boys and girls are we;
Two of us in the churchyard lie,
Beneath the churchyard tree."

"You run about, my little maid,
Your limbs they are alive;
If two are in the churchyard laid,
Then ye are only five."

"Their graves are green, they may be seen,"
The little maid replied,
"Twelve steps or more from my mother's door,
And they are side by side.

"My stockings there I often knit,
My kerchief there I hem;
And there upon the ground I sit,
And sing a song to them.

"And often after sunset, sir,
When it is light and fair,
I take my little porringer,
And eat my supper there.

"The first that died was sister Jane;
In bed she moaning lay,
Till God released her of her pain;
And then she went away.

"So in the churchyard she was laid;
And, when the grass was dry,
Together round her grave we played,
My brother John and I.

"And when the ground was white with snow,
And I could run and slide,
My brother John was forced to go,
And he lies by her side."

"How many are you, then," said I,
"If they two are in heaven?"
Quick was the little maid's reply,
"O master! we are seven."

"But they are dead; those two are dead!
Their spirits are in heaven!"
'T was throwing words away; for still
The little maid would have her will,
And say, "Nay, we are seven!"

-- William Wordsworth

Just thought of this poem again, I have no idea why.

HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND?

So, I fell sick today and I haven't felt so horrible IN AGES. In ages, I swear. I was just puking and having diarrhoea from the moment I washed up (yes, before breakfast, so I have no idea what's the problem since I didn't even eat anything?!) and that lasted the entire afternoon. I had no appetite and even if I did, I didn't dare to eat anything too, 'cause it'll all just come out, and I hate the feeling of being nauseous. Sorry to those text messages that I didn't reply, it took effort even for me to even move, hahaha. LOL, so there I was, trying to make a card for _ochre since she was leaving, and that took up my entire afternoon 'cause I had to take time out to puke and go to the toilet. LMAO. I feel very unaccomplished.

And since I didn't eat anything, except for a few wholemeal crackers because my mum told me I would need my strength to get out of the house, I dragged my aching self out, and thank goodness, my dad could give me a lift to the airport. I am in such a sluggish state right now that I have to walk around slowly like some old grandmother. My bones and muscles are still aching for no reason at all. ):

Well, that summed up my sucky day today. How was yours?

On a happier note, I picked up the AADBSK3 DVD yesterday!!! :D :D That was the only happy thing from this miserable weekend. I haven't watched it though. I thought I could today afternoon, but who knew that I would start puking my guts out. /frowns

Oh, and _ochre left just now. Kay, I'm sure everyone knows, but still! NOW I'M CRYING~~ /does Nickhun's stupid action

A brand new week starts tomorrow. I'm not exactly anticipating it because I feel like shit now.
I have no idea who else has tumblr, but here is my URL anyway! This might mean less posts on fandom stuff, but we'll see. LOL.

Sunday tomorrow, its strange how quickly the weekend passes by.
HAPPY 44TH BIRTHDAY, SINGAPORE.

I just read The Straits Times’ 44 Reasons to Love Singapore (or something like that). So I’m going to make my own list now! Yup, here's my national day post. Just a few off my head 'cause I'm too lazy to think right now. (LMAO LOOK AT HOW BORED I AM. NAH, I LOVE SINGAPORE TOO OKAY. And by the way, my TVants doesn’t seem to be working but I want to watch Inkigayo LIVE. BOO.)

Reasons to Love Singapore (for me, at least) :

Just step into a train, and take a look around you. You see Chinese, Indians, Malays, Eurasians, Caucasians, or just any race you can imagine, sitting side by side. I don’t know why, but I’ve always thought it was a heartwarming sight. I love how ethnically and racially diverse we are. Now if only I can remove those sweaty school boys (no, I do not mean this in a sexy-sweaty kind of way, I’m talking about disgusting-sweaty here.) who constantly reek of dried up perspiration from the trains…

I love our love for food. You can basically get any kind of cuisine here. Might not be the most authentic thing, but hey, beats having nothing. And at the end of the day, if you’re sick of everything else, you won’t be sick of hawker fare. I should find some pictures to prove my point.

Disclaimer: I do not claim credit for these pictures, these pictures are not taken by me. I found them ALL via google.

I like how safe I feel even when I'm walking home in the wee hours of the night. I know there's no gurantee that nothing will happen, but I *think* its pretty safe already. And despite me always complaining that there are all kinds of people sitting around at the void decks at ALL times of the day, it would look really empty and lonely during those rare occasions where nobody's sitting there and the provision shop underneath my block isn't open for business that day.

Our airport is the most coveted place for revision purposes in this country. LMAO. I don’t know if the airport authorities hate us for it, but there they are, trying to be one of the best airports in the world, and we might be ruining things for them by plonking our asses there for a few hours every day whenever exam period draws closer. After all, school kids clad in their uniforms running around in the airport is not a pretty sight. Tourists probably think we’re a strange bunch. Our airport can be a place to have a meal, to study, or just to hang out. I don’t think you get that anywhere else. And LOL at how we can just turn anywhere and anything into something multipurpose. Like, an airport is not just an airport anymore, it’s a self-study area. Flip-flops are not just meant for the beach anymore, you see people wearing them everywhere. That's something you only see here. (I don’t think this is a good thing, but just saying, LOL.)

Our display of love, support and unity whenever it is called for. Despite people calling us ungracious, selfish, a pampered nation, etc etc. This can be a bad thing too, I guess, but I'll prefer to see it as something positive. I would like to think that there is no way we could have won the bid for being the host of Youth Olympics 2010 with that video on Singapore, if not for your love for the country. If you didn't really like something, I don't think you can show how awesome that particular subject is even if you try. And Singapore's shot at the Olympics in the table-tennis department? LOL everyone was watching the damn thing even if they don't even know how the game goes. And when help is needed, it gives me hope when everyone is giving selflessly. How else do you explain the million successful charity shows that air on tv every year? LMAO.

Singlish. It kind of pisses me off when self-hating Singaporeans pick on things like our accent and our Singlish. Well I happened to think that Singlish is fun and can be hilarious when used appropriately. Nobody said to use Singlish in formal settings; OF COURSE you should be using standard English when its necessary. But I like how we have our own unique way of expressing ourselves and it’s like our own brand of humour that only we will truly understand. Kind of like an inside joke between two friends? And since Singlish originated because of the mix of races, and thus languages, in Singapore, (I’m also talking about dialects here), aren’t you hating on your own culture too if you hate Singlish?

Just because it feels like home, and it is home, as clichéd as it may sound. All my memories center around this place, why shouldn’t I love it? Memories as a kid, from the kindergarten to the playground to occasional field trips. Memories as a teenager, when you start exploring feelings and thoughts you never imagine you’ll have (LOL especially at those teenage angst moments, AISH), when school was your mortal enemy at that time, yet turns out to be the best memories now, when you start making lifelong friends. Memories now, when I’ve grown a little more mature (as I would like to believe), though a little more cynical, and all these were made possible in the safe haven that is Singapore.

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY, SINGAPORE AND FELLOW SINGAPOREANS. :D

LOL I totally abandoned this because of Inkigayo. I certainly know my priorities. INKIGAYO WAS AWESOME TODAY, BY THE WAY, EVEN THOUGH I ONLY STARTED WATCHING IT HALFWAY. THANKS, heesica , for the link to watch it. Yay. I need to re-watch those performances in HD.
YOU'RE FINALLY AN ADULT, NAT.

Its been a long time since I'm actually on time to do up a birthday post for anyone, so here goes!

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY, NATALIE PANG!

I find it rather amazing that this is the 7th year we've known each other. Thanks for taking care of fail friends like me, and for always being there, be it to listen or to bitch or whatever. You're an awesome BFF to have, and you're much more prection than you think! :D I don't know if you deem me trustworthy enough, but just know that you can count on me to be there for you no matter what. I really appreciate you and our friendship, and I love you for who you are! Don't ever change, bb. You're beautiful as it is now, don't let anybody tell you otherwise. (: Have a happy 21st. <3

So.... before I meet you on Thursday, here's a small picspam as your birthday present for the time being.

WARNING: HUGE ASS PICTURES UNDERNEATH THE CUTS

I'm really sorry for the lack of Key, LOL. So here's a .gif to make up for it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GIRL! :D

如果我眼神里闪烁不屑

Just thought that the lyrics were written really well and wanted to put it down.

<lj-embed id="28" />

For anyone who even wants to hear the song, LOL. I don't really want to discuss his vocals, I know he needs improving. But I just thought that he sang that very sincerely. (:

THE DA VINCI CODE

I wanted to <strike>bitch</strike> blog about my trip to the Da Vinci exhibition on Wednesday, but as you can see, the monster of procrastination has taken over again.

Of course, I'm not going to bitch about the exhibition itself. Why, the exhibition was ALL SORTS OF AWESOME. :D Go for it, people! For the uninformed, its at the Science Centre, 15 dollars per entry. Before you get all "OMG WTF 15 DOLLARS?! I CAN BUY THREE KFC MEALS WITH IT..." or sth, let me just say, I thought it was well worth my money. I learnt many interesting things about Leonardo Da Vinci that I didn't know before. It was quite cool. No, this is not a geek speaking, this is coming from a non-geek okay, so you can trust me. (:

I wouldn't reveal too much about the exhibition, in case some of you haven't gone yet and are planning to go. But these key aspects of the exhibition should be enough to draw you in:

1) Revealing of 25 secrets about the Mona Lisa painting. (Her hair isn't big, but yes, its FULL OF SECRETS.) Basically, they analysed the shit out of the painting. Its like a freaking Mona Lisa shrine in that particular section. LOL, sorry for the crude phrasing, but yeah. The exhibition also explains the painting, and gives the history of it. I didn't realise so much planning and calculating goes into that painting?? Cool.

2) The Vitruvian Man image and its explanation. Which was damn interesting.

3) His many inventions. Literally. Many. Inventions. (There are some hands-on stuff that you can try out in order to understand his concepts for the inventions, it was quite fun. We were like, "OMG WE CAN FINALLY TOUCH THE DISPLAYS." LOL.)

4) The Last Supper painting.

5) Huge-ass reproductions of Da Vinci's drawings of the human anatomy. THIS IS AMAZING. He drew everything so precisely omg. I think I recall a line that says something like how Da Vinci worked in secret and hurried conditions with 30(?) human bodies to do those drawings. Erm, something along those lines. I might have remembered wrongly, please don't take my word for it and check it out yourself if you can. (:

6) His other works.

Oh, and since this is an exhibition in Singapore, you shouldn't be expecting the real goods. LOL. For the real Mona Lisa painting, please make your way to Louvre museum, thanks. But overall, I thought it was a really interesting and comprehensive exhibition that allowed me to regard Da Vinci as more than just an arts person. He made contributions in many other areas like science, engineering, etc etc, so I was really quite amazed after I walked out of the exhibition.

What really annoyed me at the exhibition was PEOPLE STANDING NOSE-TO-NOSE TO THE EXHIBITIONS/DISPLAYS. Well, EXCUSE ME, I didn't realise you were on a VIP pass that allowed you to block everyone else and have the displays to yourself. What are you, a descendent of Da Vinci? And I don't get why you want to stand so close, are you expecting Da Vinci to walk out of the paintings? Or hoping that Mona Lisa would start dancing? WTF.

I'm perfectly fine with waiting for my turn to look at the exhibitions, and I totally understand if one needs to stand closer to read, to see or to examine it or whatever. I'm actually refering to people who decided to conveniently slip in front of me and plant themselves directly in front of me, when I was obviously reading or looking at the display. You're not made of glass, please. Rude, much? I thought its basic courtesy to just wait for the person to move off or look at other displays first. Obviously I didn't get the memo that its a competition to see who can stand the closest to the displays. PSSHHH.

Okay, I should probably go to bed. Locals, get your ass to the exhibition! I thought it was quite informative and fascinating. :D

"I GOT YOU...UNDER MY SKIN"

With so many drama recommendations (yay!), I decided to start with Mr. Brain since the subject matter is quite interesting and its only 8 episodes! (: But apparently mysoju.com hates me and is REFUSING TO LOAD the video. i've tried twice already and each time it gets stuck halfway. So I'm trying to load it for the final time, and if it still doesn't work then I'm moving on. You can give me a pat on my back for my patience now. :D

So, while waiting for my beloved video (yes, I'm hoping the video will sense me sucking up and just freaking LOAD) to perform a miracle, I'll do the memes stolen from xinliyoushu !

ONE
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. Post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your journal.
4. Include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on and on...

1. How's life living in Singapore?
This is such a big question. LOL. I love living in Singapore. We complain about everything- the government, the education system, the weather, the influx of foreigners, the local tv serials, even the shopping, everything you can think of. But truth be told, for me at least, I think we're blessed to be living in Singapore. You see diversity in ethnicities and languages everywhere you turn, its a cosmopolitan and modern city that still tries to hold on to traditions and its roots, the arts scene looks to be expanding. I can get food basically everywhere, even at 2am in the morning. The transport system is extensive and everywhere is quite accessible. I can walk home at 4am knowing 99% chance I'll be safe. Sure, there are imperfections, but hey, no place is perfect, and Singapore is pretty awesome already. (:

2. Who was the first artist that sucked you into kpop?
Dong Bang Shin Ki. Kpop only happened last Sept/Oct for me, if I recall correctly. _ochre showed me the Mirotic MV, which I think was shown to her by enacting , and from then on we giddily revel in the cheesy and the fabulous that is Kpop. Here's a quick breakdown of the process: Mirotic MV - "OMG THIS IS DAMN GOOD?!" - "Why do all of them look alike. I can't tell them apart. Well at least they look good." - "WTF is this boy (Yoochun. I'm sorry, I love him now.) doing here in this bunch of good lookers?" - curious now, searches for more videos to know who they are - ROFLMAO (Basically there are many lulzy videos.) - "I will only like DBSK and not go into Kpop." - MKMF - Top & Hyori moment - "Damn, this guy is kinda hot." - BAM! SUCKED INTO KPOP FANDOM.

3. Favorite suju member and why?

This boy is so earnest about everything, ilh. I started with Suju's Full House, so I actually love Heechul at first, 'cause he was just too hilarious. But at the episode where they decided to put up some stupid skit in the historical palace, Donghae doing continuous backflips was the most prection thing ever and totally got me. LOL.

Enough said. (:

4. What's your daily routine like?
School or currently? I'm still having my holidays, so I guess I should probably talk about currently. Wake up at insane hours - Wash up and grab breakfast/lunch - Either 1) Internet time 2) Get out of the house to teach some kid or 3) Meet my friends - Have dinner either at home with my family or outside with my friends (and while my time away) - Internet time before sleeping at insane hours. Its a vicious cycle.

Sometimes I'll go for a jog with konnaye , prepare tuition materials, or read a book, and most recently, trying to pick up Korean <strike>but failing miserably because I'm out most of the time for this week and the last</strike>. I'll try harder next week, LOL. And what does internet time means? It means Livejournal, OMNTD, Twitter, google reader, youtube, facebook, MSN etc etc.

So my life basically consists of family, friends and the internet. (I couldn't get a job for these few months. ): ) Yeah, its really exciting. Not. But I appreciate the break because it might get crazy when school starts again in August. (:

5. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
I THINK I MIGHT DIE. LOL. I like variety, y'know! If I have to eat a particular food for two days in a row I'll be sick of it already. HMMM. Maybe pasta? There are different kinds of pasta and different ways of preparing it. And I love my carbs. LMAO, this isn't cheating right?

TWO
1. Leave me a comment and I will give you a letter.
2. Then, write 10 things that you love starting with that letter.
3. Post the list in your journal.
4. Give out letters to those who comment in return.

(xinliyoushu gave me the letter 'D'. LOL this seems difficult.)

1) DBSK - Well that was the most obvious. LMAO.

<lj-embed id="27" />
HERE. SUCK ON THIS AND LOVE THESE GODS.

2) Dessert - I LOVE DESSERT. A GOOD MEAL IS ONLY COMPLETE WITH DESSERT. That is why I hate it whenever I am too full and have no room for dessert. Cakes, pies, ice-cream, whatever. Yeah, I know I'm fat and I need to watch my weight. Okay, will take note. Now go get me that ice-cream over there.
3) Dance - I CAN'T DANCE AT ALL. But I love watching people dance. There is something about the movement of the body that intrigues me.
4) Daybreak - On the rare occasions that I have to wake up super damn early, I'll be all ASDFJKL;SDJFALF about it. But once I'm fully awake and out of the house, I love it. I think I sound like a freak, but the smell of the fresh morning air coupled with the sky brightening puts me in a good mood. Its like, oh hey its a brand new day. ("..a whole neeww woorlddd!!" I got reminded of this.) Too bad I always sleep past noon these days.
5) Dim sum - LOL another type of food. I'm sorry, but I really love my food. Which is why my diet always fails. The most I can do is to stop from stuffing my face and try to go for runs/jogs.
6) Dead Poets' Society - I tried to think of a movie I love that starts with 'D' and this came to my mind immediately. I'll always remember Mrs Kaan showing us it to us in class in secondary school and I loved it. Yes, even at that age when I don't know shit.
7) Drama(s) - Why the 's', you might wonder. Drama refers to plays, theatre and actually literature in general (LOL look at how far I'm trying to link.) Yes, I love my major, English Literature. Dramasss refer to, well, dramas of course. Like, you know, asian dramas? LMAO.
8) December - My favourite month. Its like school holidays + festive holidays. :D IDK, I've always enjoyed my Decembers.
9) Donghae - LOL said reason is shown above. I won't repeat. (You can guess I'm running out of things that start with 'D', so I have no choice but to put him in again. Oh well.)
10) Darlings around me! - Yay I wanted to save this for the last. My bffs and friends (you know who you are) keep me sane. I trust them and I hope they trust me. I love them and hope they love me back too. (:

LONG ENTRY IS LONG. And whoops, I totally left this unattended. Pffft. And by the way, you'll be interested to know, MY VIDEO HAVEN'T LOAD YET. ITS BEEN ALMOST 2 HOURS. PFFFFFFTTTTTT.

WHAT MIRACLE. THERE IS NO MIRACLE. ONLY MIRACLE HERE IS THAT I HAVEN'T THROWN MY LAPTOP OUT OF MY WINDOW.

DRAMAS, ANYONE?

I. NEED. A. DRAMA. TO. WATCH.

SERIOUSLY.

Ever since Boys Before Flowers ended, I haven't watched a single drama. This is a brand new record. What happened to watching all the taiwanese dramas?? <strike>Even the shitty ones?!</strike> I guess going into a whole new fandom (and thus abandoning the previous one, whoops) does change things. LOL.

I watched a few movies on my laptop, but I agree with Janesa, it feels better to have a drama to watch 'cause it doesn't end so quickly... If you get what she means. LOL. So far, from what I can recall, I watched I'm a Cyborg But that's Okay (which I really really like, but wasn't one of Park Chan-wook's best works), Chaser (IT WAS AWESOME. <3 ), Naked Kitchen (a beautiful...love story? It was a little disappointing though. IDK if I was expecting too much.) ... Okay and what else. OH I WATCHED ATTACK OF THE PIN-UP BOYS. IT WAS JUST...LOL. SUJU, ILU. I also watched Cyborg She. Don't judge please. I was itching for another movie about cyborgs and that was the only one I know of. HAHAHA. It was...erm, let's just say, its no loss if you don't watch it. (: The main female lead, the cyborg, IS DARN PRETTY THOUGH. I also watched Little Miss Sunshine (ITS SUCH A FEEL GOOD FILM. LOVED IT.) and re-watched Love Actually. Okay, I can't remember what else I watched online. ): Age is catching up with me.

I NEED A DRAMA. RECOMMENDATIONS, PLEASE.

LOL speaking of movies, I would say the movie marathon at the class chalet last week was one of the most successful movie marathons I've ever had. I mean, everyone was awake and watching?! HOW OFTEN DOES THAT HAPPEN. Its such a rare occurance. Maybe I should buy lottery tomorrow. Usually when we have stayovers or chalets, either 1) everyone starts off watching, but one by one loses interest and either fall asleep or go off to do something else or 2) only one or two are REALLY watching, the rest are just bored. even from the start, yes. LOL WE ACTUALLY WATCHED 3 MOVIES: Marley & Me, Bride Wars and Mad About English. I can't believe we watched the first two 'cause I know I didn't even want to watch them when they showed at the theaters. LOL. But they're good flicks to watch at stayovers though Marley & Me felt like 3 hours omg. Anyway, YAY US. (:

I'm finally going to watch Transformers tomorrow. When the whole world has already watched it.

And I can't wait for this.

<lj-embed id="26" />
...It looks like its going to be damn awesome. Expelliarmus!

GIVES ME HOPE.

_ochre just showed me this site, www.givesmehope.com/. Its like the FML website, but for the positive and happy moments that give you hope. So in the midst of so many negative happenings that we see in the news each day, with the most recent big news being the deaths of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, this website is a refreshing change that indeed, gives me hope. :D

"During college, I worked at a coffee shop in New Orleans. The morning shift started at 6 am. A coworker lived off campus and waited for the streetcar ~5:30 am (before sunrise). One morning, she waited with a man for 10-15 mins. As the streetcar arrived, she asked if he was getting on, and he said "No, I was just making sure you were safe." GMH."

"Exactly 8 months ago my grandpa lost his battle with cancer. By the end he couldn't talk and wouldn't respond to any of us. A few moments before he took his last breath, he looked at my grandma and said clear as day "I love you". They were married 51 years. GMH!!"

"I rode the subway and ended up forgetting my purse and realizing it as the train sped away. I went to go talk to someone about it but no one could find it and I didn't have money to get back on the train so I started crying. That's when the janitor came over and handed me enough money to get home."

"I just read an amazing article about a little girl with cancer whose dying wish was to see Up! She was too sick to attend the theatre. Upon hearing this, Pixar sent over a staffer with gifts and a DVD. She couldn't open her eyes, so her mom described it. She passed away that night after seeing it. GMH."

"I was on the edge yesterday. I felt broken like no matter what we do we can not get ahead. I just set down on the floor and started crying. My two year old son came up to me, wiped the tears from my face and told me it would be ok. He smiled and kissed me. He gave me the strength to get back up because we may not have much, but we have love. GMH"

I'm getting a little weepy reading this entries...but reading them...GMH. (: I think we need a little hope in our lives. Rather than focusing on the negative moments, it feels better to take note of the positive ones, y/y?

TY, _ochre , for showing me this. ILU. :D

TELL THE WORLD HOW THEY HAVE STOLEN OUR ELECTION

Hopped over to this journal from impeople , who posted a link in her post.

If you are reading this right now, you have more luxury than someone in Iran could ever hope for right now. If you are watching TV or a video on youtube, updating your status on Facebook, Tweeting, or even texting your friend, you are lucky. If you are safe in your home, and were able to sleep last night without the sounds of screaming from the rooftops, you need to know and understand what is happening to people just like you in Iran right now.

They are not the enemy. They are a people whose election has been stolen. For the first time in a long time, a voice for change struck the youth of Iran, just as it did for many people in the United States only seven months ago. Hossein Mousavi gained the support of millions of people in Iran as a Presidential candidate. He stands for progressiveness. He supports good relations with the West, and the rest of the world. He is supported with fervor as he challenges the oppressive regime of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

On Friday, millions of people waited for hours in line to vote in Iran's Presidential election. Later that night, as votes came in, Mousavi was alerted that he was winning by a two-thirds margin. Then there was a change. Suddenly, it was Ahmadinejad who had 68% of the vote - in areas which have been firmly against his political party, he overwhelmingly won. Within three hours, millions of votes were supposedly counted - the victor was Ahmadinejad. Immediately fraud was suspected - there was no way he could have won by this great a margin with such oppposition. Since then, reports have been coming in of burned ballots, or in some cases numbers being given without any being counted at all. None of this is confirmed, but what happened next seems to do the trick.

The people of Iran took the streets and rooftops. They shout "Death to the dictator" and "Allah o akbar." They join together to protest. Peacefully. The police attack some, but they stay strong. Riots happen, and the shouting continues all night. Text messaging was disabled, as was satellite, and websites which can spread information such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and the BBC are blocked in the country. At five in the morning, Arabic speaking soldiers (the people of Iran speak Farsi) stormed a university in the capital city of Tehran. While sleeping in their dormitories, five students were killed. Others were wounded. These soldiers are thought to have been brought in by Ahmadinejad from Lebanon. Today, 192 of the university's faculty have resigned in protest.

Mousavi requested that the government allow a peaceful rally to occur this morning - the request was denied. Many thought that it would not happen. Nevertheless, first a few thousand people showed up in the streets of Tehran. At this point, it is estimated that 1 to 2 million people were there. Mousavi spoke on the top of a car. The police stood by. For a few hours, everything was peaceful. Right now, the same cannot be said. Reports of injuries, shootings, and killings are flooding the internet. Twitter has been an invaluable source - those in Iran who still know how to access it are updating regularly with picture evidence. People are being brutally beaten. Tonight will be another night without rest for so many in Iran no older than I am. Tonight there is a Green Revolution.

For more information:
PICTURES:
here and here
NEW INFORMATION:
Here - near constant updates
Here - ONTD_political live post
ON TWITTER:
@StopAhmadi, @ProtesterHelp

دنیارابگوییدچطورآنهاانتخاباتمان دزدیده اند
Tell the world how they have stolen our election

- original post by one_hoopy_frood

And so I'm reposting this, just because its the least I can do.
XIAO LONG BAOS + DIM SUM = LOVE.

Last week was an overdose of Chinese food. Okay, maybe not the entire week. But 2 days in a row is ENOUGH. I mean, a BUFFET with steamboat on Thursday, plus dim sum on Friday? I will avoid Chinese food this week, thanks.

Crystal Jade buffet at Holland V. THIS MEANS ENDLESS XIAO LONG BAOs IF YOU WANT. :D :D

LOL I LOOK LIKE DEATH HERE. Just look at how puffy my eyes are, they look so small now. All the late nights omg. I need school to come around faster so that my bedtime can be slightly more normal.

LMAO I feel the need to do some public shaming here. 'Cause it was hilarious. THIS CHER. She looks so happy with her xiao long baos here right? So like, we each got one order for ourselves because that would mean 5 xiao long baos for each of us already. This girl, she insisted on getting another one for herself because she feels it would be a pity if we didn't eat MORE xiao long baos since its a buffet. TYPICAL SINGAPOREAN MENTALITY. HAHAHAHA. In the end, she was so stuffed with other food that she felt like dying with her many many xiao long baos and I had to help her to eat one xiao long bao. LOL.

On a separate note, the service was REALLY BAD the night that we went. I can see that everyone's busy, and we would totally understand if you need to take a longer time to serve us. I mean, we're not some bitches who can't wait. But HEY THERE IS NO NEED FOR RUDENESS AND LACK OF COURTESY. It was a bit of downer, especially when we just want to mind our business and eat our damn food. The waitresses were basically being rude and curt with their replies AND I COULD SEE NO FORM OF SERVICE AT ALL.

By service, I do not mean just plopping our orders on the table, NOT TELLING US when drinks are unavailable and basically trying to force another drink down our throats (which we did not order). setting your hot water flask down ON MY PLATE (the plate that i'm going to put food on in a while, miss) so that you can get a better grip (damn, can't you do it on the table? some hygiene wld be nice please), and I can quote a million other incidents in that ONE night, but I shall stop 'cause this is getting too long. LOL. I know service takes two hands to clap, and if we're unpleasant little bitches, I guess it would be difficult to be nice when serving us. But we were really trying to be nice about it (LOL, my friend couldn't control her temper though. Well, besides her then.)

Being extremely busy is not an excuse to be rude and compromise on your service standards. I'm not asking for quality service here, but if you're at least a nice person, it will naturally show in your service. NOW IDK WHAT TO THINK OF THOSE WAITRESSES WHO SERVED US AT HOLLAND V'S CRYSTAL JADE. Well, except for one. She was like the nicest among all those who served us. I ask that she be made the employee of the month now. No, make that employee of the year.

Dim Joy with konnaye ! :D

The custard buns and honey charsiew buns were a little disappointing this time round, they weren't as soft as I remembered them to be when I went there for the first time with _ochre . ): But, it was still good overall!

THE EGG TARTS WERE TO DIE FOR. LIKE, THEY SERIOUSLY JUST MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. AND THE CRUSTS WERE JUST NICE; SOFT AND CRISPY AT THE SAME TIME. NAT, THEY WERE EVEN BETTER THAN THOSE WE ATE WHEN WE WENT THE LAST TIME. <3 <3

SEE HOW MUCH WE LOVE OUR EGG TARTS?!

We went to Dim Joy on a Friday night, and it was surprisingly empty. Guess everyone's at pubs or something since its a Friday. It was nice being one of the few in the restaurant, except that we should have probably sat further away from the wait staff 'cause it was kinda awkward with them standing so close and watching us eat. LOL. That said, I love the service that Dim Joy provides. The waiters and waitresses are really attentive (probably also due to the fact that there were few people, but the last time Nat and I went, they gave good service too), and are all REALLY NICE PEOPLE. :D :D I would go back for their egg tarts (best I've eaten, actually), custard buns, charsiew buns, shrimp dumplings, pan-fried radish and their dessert. Shulian doesn't like durian (OH THE BLASPHEMY) so I couldn't order it, but I really like their durian dessert. :D Go to Dim Joy, people!

HELLO TO MY NEW FRIENDS. AND MY OLD ONES. LOL.

YAY! Added some new friends from OMNTD, to make LJ even more fun than it already is. LOL I think I'm spending too much time on LJ. So here's a meme for everyone to know each other better. <strike>AND FOR ME TO COPY AND PASTE THIS SHIT FOR EVERYONE 'CAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE POSTING THIS. LOL.</strike> Okay, I won't be that shameless. I'll edit it a little for each person. :D

01. Your Middle Name: I...don't have one? I have a Chinese name though, I'm from Singapore! :D

02. Age: hitting 21 in November. (eh eh eh eh eh eh eh WE'RE TWENNNNYYY-ONE!)

03. Single or Taken: Single, baby!

04. Favorite Movie: I can't pick, there are too many. LOL I'm going to go around posting different movie titles that I like.

05. Favorite Song or Album: For now its either SHINee's Replay (Remix) or 2pm's Again & Again. (LOL I'M SO SLOOWWW.)

06. Favorite Band/Artist: DBSK for now. :D

07. Dirty or Clean: it kinda depends. I would like to think that I'm clean, but my mum always say that I'm dirty. OH WELL.

08. Tattoos and/or Piercings: Only on my ears. I would love a tattoo, but I won't know what to get. And considering how I'm fickle as hell, I better not do this to myself.

09. Do we know each other outside of LJ? Well this is for my LJ newfound friends, so...probably not? BUT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO FILL THIS IN EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT ONE OF THE OMNTD BBS KAY. :D

10. What's your philosophy on life? Live long and prosper. /tries very hard to do Spock's hand sign

11. Is the bottle half-full or half-empty? half-full! sometimes I can't stand my own optimism, especially at times when I need some pessimism to push myself to get things done.

12. Would you keep a secret from me if you thought it was in my best interest? Depends on the situation. Like, if what you're wearing for today is really ugly, YEAH I WLD TELL YOU.

13. What is your favorite memory of us? Memories are always good. (LOL AT HOW I'M TRYING TO KEEP THIS VAGUE SO THAT IT'LL FIT FOR EVERYONE.)

14. What is your favorite guilty pleasure? Kpop and OMNTD.

15. Tell me one odd/interesting fact about you: I LOVE YOU. LOL.

16. You can have three wishes (for yourself, so forget all the 'world peace etc' malarky) - what are they? 1) I wish to keep my loved ones close and healthy and happy. 2) I want to be filthy rich so that I can travel everywhere. 3) I need to see DBSK live. (YES THIS IS A NEED.)

17. Can we get together and make a cake? Of course, I love cakes. Though I hafta warn you, the last time I bake was years ago. LOL.

18. Which country is your spiritual home? WHOT. Singapore, I guess. I love my country. (*starts singing* THIS IS MY COUNTRRYYYY...THIS IS MY FLAG....THIS IS MY FUTURE...THIS IS MY HOOOOMEEE.. kay i hope there weren't any wrong lyrics)

19. What is your big weakness? BOOKS. FILMS. MOVIES. HISTORY. LITERATURE. GOOD FOOD. KPOP. ASIAN ENTERTAINMENT IN GENERAL.

20. Do you think I'm a good person? Sure, if you're my friend, you're definitely a good person. HAHAHAHA.

21. What was your best/favorite subject at school? English and Literature? I enjoyed Chinese and wasn't bad at it too. I liked History too, but I sucked. LOL. MATHS WAS THE WORST FOR ME. /cries

22. Describe your accent. Well....I sound like how a Singaporean would sound like. LMAO that's not very helpful, isn't it. I can switch between speaking Singlish and proper English though. (but I guess the Singaporean accent is still there, and I'm proud of it.)

23. If you could change anything about me, would you? I always think that change should come from within, so if you're going to change anything, you'll change it, not me, not anyone else.

24. What do you wear to sleep? Oversized tshirt and shorts.

25. Trousers or skirts? I'm fine with both I guess, though pants might be more comfortable for me.

26. Cigarettes or alcohol? I don't drink a lot, but alcohol >>>>>> cigarettes.

27. If I only had one day to live, what would we do together? (If you have no idea, just say something crazy, it'll entertain me!) For OMNTD bbs, WE WILL GET ON A PLANE TO KOREA AND STALK OUR FAV CELEBS AND TALK SHIT TO THEM. For my real life friends, LOL it depends on who you are. Like, if you're NAT, WE WILL STILL GET ON A PLANE TO KOREA AND STALK OUR FAV CELEBS AND TALK SHIT TO THEM. LMAO.

28. Will you repost this so I can fill it out for you? Posting it here already!

LOL my proper update is still not coming. Everytime I come online, I really wonder where that few hours have gone to. Damn.
FANGIRL MEME

OBLIGATORY WARNING: THIS WILL BE A FANGIRL MEME. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR MORE NORMAL ENTRIES (E.G JANESA'S 21ST OR STH) AND SKIP THIS IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED OR HAVE COMPLETELY NO IDEA ABOUT THE KPOP FANDOM. (and by kpop, i do not mean just the wondergirls. LOL.) THANKS, DEARS. (:

Got this meme from samloves , and tagging anyone who wants to do this.

Even though this meme asks me to list my top 10 fav celebrities, I decided to just narrow it down to the kpop fandom for the lulz and the relevance. So...you won't see artistes like J.T or Jason Mraz as much as I love them to death, and even xiaozhu and xiaogui will be irrelevant to this. (OMG DID I JUST TOTALLY DISREGARD XIAOZHU?! I'M SO SORRY...BUT I LOVE YOU!) Hot silver screen stars like Daniel Wu or Hugh Jackman (and more recently, ZACH QUINTO OMG) are also excluded. Oh well. There are just too many people that I like, LOL. So now you know why I'm going to narrow this down.

List your top ten favorite celebrities at the moment and answer the questions below.

1. Kim Jaejoong of DBSK
2. Park Yoochun of DBSK
3. Lee Donghae of Super Junior
4. Top of Big Bang
5. Kim Hyunjoong of SS501
6. Lee Hyori
7. Lee Chun Hee/Chunderella (I'm throwing this in because the boy needs some love before he leaves FO.)
8. Kim Jonghyun of SHINee
9. Yuri of SNSD
10. Hwang Chansung of 2pm

LOL I'm trying not to let my DBSK bias show, so that explains the only two DBSK boys up there.

SO what do you like most about 2?

The fact that he looks like such a player (maybe he is, IDK), and is damn smooth with his words, but is actually A REALLY FAIL BOY who brings the lulz with his Chungrish and fail moves and gets TOO HIGH for his own good sometimes. His good looks when he has good hair helps too. :D

If you could do anything to 4, what would it be?

Do anything? Really? <strike>Does this mean I can rape him too?</strike> I don't really want to do anything to him actually. LOL. He can just rap in that deep, rough voice of his and I'll be contented already. Oh wait, I know! I want to do his signature move with him in Lies. LOL.

Who would you choose between 5 and 7?

LMAO I'll pick Hyunjoong over Chunderella. I love Chunderella, but I don't need someone anymore fail than me who can trip over his own feet while walking. Hyunjoong will be much love with his smartass remarks and that deadpan face.

Out of them, how much would you rate 1?

I don't need/want to rate him, he's too awesome to be rated. AND HE KNOWS IT TOO.

What do you find most attractive about 1?

Most? This is difficult. For one, he's really pretty, and I do mean beautiful. LOL. I think he's also attractive because he looks like that and is actually a dork at heart (LMAO that seems like a similar reason for liking Yoochun too). He can cook. He can sing. Okay, the best part is he's actually really hilarious. Put all these together, there, you'll get what's most attractive about Jaejoong- its Jae being Jae.

If you would go out with 3, what type of date would you go on?

WELL I DON'T REALLY CARE WHAT TYPE OF DATE IT IS. ITS EFFING LEE DONGHAE, DAMMIT.

If 8 was a type of season, which seaon would it be?

LOL what? I have no idea. Erm, SUMMER? HE'S GETTING TOO HOT FOR ME TO HANDLE WITH THOSE SEX FACES.

Why is 10 not higher up in your list?

Well, that's because I only got into 2pm recently. I BLAME OMONATHEYDIDN'T.

So what does 10 have to do to be brought higher up?

LOL I don't know? Nothing, I guess. It takes a lot to knock those above him off the list. He's currently cute and funny enough already. :D

What would the ideal situation be for you for 2 and 4?

I can dream for all I want, but it won't be ideal because these two drinking buddies are just going to leave me out. ):

Which two people would you want to be stuck with on a desert Island?

Kim Jaejoong and Lee Chunhee. Jaejoong can stand around and look pretty and entertain me. I know Chunderella will busy himself with all those chores that need to be done, that hard worker. (LOL I'm so mean, I just want Chunderella around to do the work.) Oh and Jae can cook so we won't starve to death. :D Its always nice having a housewife around.

Marry, shag or kiss - 4,6,8?

Marry: Top, obviously. He's the only one eligible for marriage here.
Shag: I am so going to jail for this, but Jonghyun. THIS QUESTION LEAVES ME WITH NO CHOICE.
Kiss: Lee Hyori. This girl is just damn hot please.

What do you hate most about 7?

HE'S LEAVING FAMILY OUTING. FOR THAT, I HATE HIM.

Have you ever thought of how you'll react when you meet 3?

"Donghae oppa, why is your name Donghae?"
Your house is donghae? East sea?
Whhhhyyyyyyy?"

or

"Annyeonghaseyo! ....... Sarangheyo!" /does the heart sign (LOL AND SUCH IS THE LIMITATIONS OF MY KOREAN.)

Have you seen 1 and 2 together on tv before?

MTV channel, ILU.

Have you ever dreamt of 6?

Well, no. LOL.

Who would you take to a prom/ball with you?

Yoochun, I guess. Jae can't go, he's going to be prettier than me. When I say Yoochun, I meant Yoochun with his good short hair. Or people won't be able to tell who's the guy and who's the girl.

Cuddle, glomp or kiss 1,3,5

LOL I had to check what the heck is 'glomp'.

Kiss: Jaejoong, of course.
Cuddle: Hyunjoong, though he doesn't look like a nice person to cuddle up to 'cause he's too skinny. This meme leaves me with no choice again. LOL.
Glomp: Donghae. He is just asking to be glomped, I swear. Just look at that boy.

I just realised I didn't even mention Yuri at all?! ): Why is there no questions about 9?!

Now I need to go look for MORE food. The soya beancurd that I ate halfway through this totally didn't do it for me. ): and LOL, you know you have been hanging ard at OMNTD too much when you feel the need to prove your point with gifs and pictures.
MY LOVE-HATE AFFAIR WITH THE NEWLY OPENED CIRCLE LINE.

I don't know if its a good or bad thing that the Circle Line opened. For the uninformed, the Circle Line links the new stations to the North-South Line/Red Line and the North-East Line/Purple Line (ITS LOOKS LIKE, PURPLE LINE!! GOT TO INTRODUCE MYSELF! Sorry, couldn't resist). So its like, Marymount-Bishan-Lorong Chuan-Serangoon-Bartley. Wait, did I miss anything out? Okay, whatever.

Anyway, ever since it opened, I have been abusing it like nobody's business.

Have to go Dhoby gaut, oh yay I can take the train and switch at Serangoon to the NEL.
Have to go Cityhall/Orchard/Somerset, oh yay I can take the train and switch at Bishan to the NSL.
Have to go Bishan, oh yay its just a 2 minutes train ride.
Have to go Kovan, oh yay its just 2 stops away.

Damn. And I was still one of those who proudly proclaimed my love affair with buses and how buses >>>> trains.

I'm such a.....HYPOCRITE! /cries and runs away dramatically

The good thing about the Circle Line is that it takes me lesser time to get to places. ITS JUST TOO CONVENIENT. And its not very crowded, I LIKE. :D (However, this means that the empty seats are kinda unnecessary to me though, since the ride is so short. LMAO.) The not-so-good thing is, I end up underestimating the time needed to travel, so ultimately, I will still be late. -.- How annoying. And because the train station is just right behind my house, I feel the need to use it all the time even though I might have a straight bus to a particular place. So for example, I have a straight bus to somewhere in Sengkang. But, to save time, I will take the train and drop off at Kovan, and then take a bus to that somewhere in Sengkang, because that's faster. Like, maybe 10 minutes faster. LOL. So higher transport expenses for that 10 minutes. Okay, you can shoot me now.

If you've read through my entire love-hate affair with the Circle Line, YOU ARE...GOOD JOB. (A pat on the back if you know where this is from.) To reward you, I have a hilarious video for you that I totally lol-ed at earlier today when I saw it. I NEED TO POST THIS BECAUSE ITS JUST TOO LOL. Here, its only 6 seconds. Blink and you'll miss it.

THE MAIN POINT OF THE VIDEO IS JAEJOONG OKAY, NOT YUNHO. Errr, if you don't know DBSK (I don't think you'll click on this if you don't know DBSK, but ANYWAY), the main point of the video is the guy who took off his jacket halfway, not the guy talking in front of the camera. LOL.

He's all like, "HEY LOOK AT ME.
..........OH SHIT THERE'S A CAMERA." /runs

<lj-embed id="25" />

LMAO. AS IF EVERYBODY NEVER SEE BEFORE.

(Whoo finally a post. Though its about pointless stuff. But I rarely feel the urge to blog these days, so I'm kinda pleased with myself now. HAHAHA.)

17 (Bump Off Lover)

.
.
.

I feel like watching this drama all over again.
6 THINGS I LEARNT ABOUT SAIGON.

Back from a few days' trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam! It was a really fun and interesting trip, because we see so many things that we don't see in Singapore. (: The Vietnamese like to call HCMC by the name of Saigon actually.

So here are the few main things that I have learnt about Saigon, Vietnam:

1. The traffic is so exciting that you might pee in your pants.

And I couldn't resist tweeting when I was caught in this massive jam that I have never seen before in my entire life. We were literally stuck there. The road was one-way, if I recall correctly, but vehicles were just going in both directions, obviously not giving a shit that it was a one-way road. There was not an inch of space anywhere on the road because the scooters/motorbikes would just squeeze into any space possible. Our tour guide actually went down to direct the vehicles so that we could move. LOL.

Crossing the roads required a great leap of faith, because there were so many vehicles (our tour guide told us that there were about 4 million motorbikes in Saigon itself) and they don't really bother themselves with the road signs and traffic lights. So we had to JUST CROSS and let them weave around us and other pedestrians. We were so afraid of crossing the roads at first, but got used to it after a while. But even then, I still feel my heart leap to my throat sometimes when the motorbikes zooming past are just centimetres away from me. Quite a few near-death experiences, I would say. So exciting right!! LOL. We couldn't help but wonder about their accident rate.

If you think you can walk on the pavements safely...

THINK AGAIN.

2. Hawkers are all around.

Seriously, they are just everywhere. Selling everything. EVERYTHING. From snacks, to water/drinks/coconuts, to actual food, to toys. Anything you can imagine.

Even goldfish.

3. They have very nice scenery! Possibly due to the lack of skyscrapers there. (:

Look at how clear the skies are!

I wasn't even that bothered about the fact that the stupid boat ride was just a little less than 4 hours. (Though it did hit me pretty hard when we returned to the city.) 'Cause it was quite nice to just stone and look at the sky and feel the sea breeze in your face.

The Mekong Delta is a pretty place. (:

4. Everything is damn cheap.

(Except for the shopping. Which you can be prepared to get ripped off even after bargaining, since we're tourists. /cries)

Tickets to the Reunification Palace. This is equivalent to less than SGD1.50? And all the entrance tickets were roughly the same price, if not the same, I can't remember very well.

Tickets to the zoo was slightly less than SGD0.80 cents. BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I would take the Singapore zoo anytime. We only went to their zoo 'cause we had a bit of spare time and it was just beside the History Museum which we were at. LOL.

Food is cheap too. For one of our meals, we ate at this restaurant which looks quite classy. The bill amounted to about SGD8 dollars per person? We ordered quite a few dishes too.

5. Vietnamese people in the past are damn small.

(They still are now, by the way. XJ and I saw like..this huge group of university students on an excursion to the History Museum, and they were all so small that they look like my size when I was in secondary school. And shorter.)

That's the entrance to the Cu Chi tunnels. For the Vietnamese guerillas in the past. SO SMALL PLEASE.

Because we are not as small as the Vietnamese, we won't be able to get down. So they have decided to widen another entrance, TWICE THE SIZE OF THE ORIGINAL ENTRANCE.

As you can see, it is still freaking small. LOL.

6. In Vietnam, couples pak tor in very ~old skool~ manner.

This is their park. And every couple will have one motorbike. They will then sit on the motorbike together, if they haven't manage to chope a stone bench. There, they'll have some romantic time together. Note that there is one couple every, say, 2 metres. So I don't know how romantic that is. And they gather there every night. Seems like all the couples can make friends with each other already.

AT THE ZOO. I guess at 8000VND, they can afford to go in and share some romantic tiemz. In Singapore, you'll be nuts to spend..IDK, SGD16 dollars or something to go to the zoo and pak tor.

XJ and I attempted to romantic romantic too.

HMM. Like not very romantic. I guess we fail. ):

On a separate note, my LJ seems to be collecting dust. LOL. Kinda lazy to update these days, so I'll probably just update once in a while to record some stuff down. For the time being, my LJ is just used primarily to check the news at OMNTD. (:

AND THE MONTH OF APRIL.

Exams have finally ended last Wednesday. LIKE, FINALLY. I felt like I've waited for so damn long. My April was basically made up of:

1) Essays. I don't know why all the essays seem to be due at around the same time. So it was really one essay after another. I almost died. And speaking of essays, you know how some people can just whip out an A essay without having to look for secondary sources, or even doing it at the very last minute? Its so damn demoralising omg. And it just reminds me that I'll never be this smart. ):

2) Exams. They flew past, and... I don't think I did very well. Since everything was so last minute. And by the last paper, I'm just in holiday mood already. LOL. I hope I didn't do TOO badly.

3) Zhongshen's and Shulian's 21st. Both celebrations just show the difference between one in which I knew more than half the people there, and one that I don't even know one quarter of the people there. LMAO. The contrast is amazing. Felt totally at ease at one, and felt so awkward at the other. I actually felt restrained please. LOL.

4) Nonsense things that I did in between all these. Fangirl-ing is a huge part. I don't think you want to know more. LOL. And this is a misconception that I must clear up: Why do people think that fangirling automatically means watching videos on youtube? There's more to fangirling than that. HAHAHA. I mean, I watched very few stuff in the month of April (I haven't even finish Boys Before Flowers please), but the fangirl-ing went on. I don't have to watch videos to fangirl, you know. So next time you want to ask me to do my work or study, don't say "Stop watching videos!" 'Cause I can tell you, I'm honestly not doing that. Hahaha.

Yesterday was a nice day spent with _ochre even though we seriously did not make any plans except to have brunch at Prive bakery cafe (WHICH WAS SO GOOD, I am so going back there again.) at Keppel harbour. We're slightly nuts to go all the way there for brunch, but it was worth it omg. You kinda have to walk all the way in, but its a nice walk despite the scorching sun. So, even with no plans, we managed to make our way to the National Museum (which was not even our intended destination, its just that we happened to stop at that bus stop) and had free entry to the Christian Lacroix exhibition because of our red nails. LOL. What a pleasant surprise. Christian Lacroix is all kinds of genius.

On Wednesday we went to see Cats. GAH I TOTALLY ENJOYED IT.

And on Monday (yes, even before exams ended), I met the girls for dinner at The Queen & Mangosteen. Loved the ambience and the food! And the company of course. Too much beer though.

All these goes to show that I need to cut back on my spending before I get a job. ): Or I'm really going to be broke soon. But I feel like there are so many things that I want to do, see, watch and eat. LOL. I'm a deprived child.

JULIANA'S 21ST.

Wow, this space has been left to rot for like the past one month. LOL. Okay, the past 3 weeks was madness.

Firstly, there was the BHG bazaar, which was the same week as my Spanish test. By the way, my final marketing presentation and report was due that week too. Before that week, there was the journal critique presentation for marketing. As you can see, marketing took up a huge part of my Sem 2. LOL. And may I add that for my final marketing presenation and report, all of us stayed up the entire night at one of my group mates' place to do it, because we're such last minute assholes, and Kat and I both looked and acted like ghosts on the day of our presentation. In fact, we were just ghosts lah huh. I was so happy when the presentation was finally over.

This week, is hell week. Nevermind that I had Spanish listening and oral tests, a Shakespeare essay and a drama essay due, but my oral test was the day as the deadline for our drama essay. And next monday, I have a 3000 word film essay due. Good luck to me, I haven't thought of a topic yet.

So why am I here. Well its because....I decided to update about Juliana's 21st birthday! HAHAHHAA. WTF right.

WARNING: BIG ASS PICTURES UNDERNEATH. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN THEM ALL ON FACEBOOK, DON'T BOTHER CLICKING. UNLESS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MY LAME COMMENTARY.

Yes people, we decided to go to Botanic Gardens, as suggested by Cher Lim. She was so proud of herself for that suggestion. But we just felt like stabbing the shit out of her when the rest of us had to walk like, 20 minutes in to meet her and Serene, who were already there. And we had to keep refering to the map like lost tourists because Botanic Gardens is just too freaking big. And you can see that it was evening time when we reached right? It was around 7 I guess. By the time we met them, IT WAS DARK.

I don't know what's with all the Heineken ambassador-like poses.

You can see our food there on the picnic mat! Well okay, not really. LOL. Cher and Serene prepared all the food. When we were stuffing our faces with the food (got damn hungry after the long walk in), I realised that the sausages were COLD. And you know why they were cold? When they were preparing the food, Serene passed to Cher the box of sausages with the potato salad (was it? should be i think.) on top, she told Cher to put the potato salad in the fridge. But because the box of sausages was together with them, Cher was so blur that she put both boxes into the fridge. HAHAHHA. I have such a cute friend. :D

Birthday girl and her cake. So many people contributed to this cake. Xiao Ji and I drew on the cake. (JP has some shop that allows you to decorate the cake yourself. The cake is not very expensive, and its a nice cake! Totally worth the price. And you get to decorate the cake omg.) Nat threw out suggestions. (Yeah, which explains the omelette-like sun there that you see. But maybe that's also due to XJ's lack of artistic talent.) Kat helped us to do the side! So erm, that's like the only professional-looking part of the entire cake. LOL. Oh and I just put the icing flowers everywhere with my grimy hands. We can confirm that we don't have weak stomachs after we ate the cake. Bueno.

We did alot of stupid things in between and talked alot of cock. The stupid things....are in some form of video. We're supposed to copy into a disc and give it to Juliana. That's going to take ages before it happens, I foresee. LOL. And the stupid things...are definitely not for the public eye. I'm glad there was just this Indian group there since it was a weekday night. They totally stared at us when we were embarrassing the shit out of ourselves. Ah well. At least it was just a group of them there.

And before we left, we wanted to take photos. So, Angela and Serene were setting the self-timer on the camera. And this is why....we have photos of various people with lol expressions because some people are prepared for the camera, and some are not....

Just look at everyone. I can so imagine our responses.
XJ and Serene: "Wa lao, Angela!"
Juliana: "Hey, quick take! Why you so slow?! I am all ready already! Can't you see I'm The Girl today?" (psst, look at Jul's shirt.)
Me: *disapprovingly* "Don't force me to take out my knife hor."
Cher: * stares* and... *stares somemore*

Angela: "Ha, see..its not me being dumb right..its the camera."
Me: "Why is it taking sooo loonggg... I can watch like, 10 videos with this waiting time."
XJ: "Serene, I'm going to shoot you any minute now if you don't get the camera ready. Ah, I wonder what's my boyfriend doing now." *mind wanders off*
Juliana to Cher: "So how, did you give the wrong injection today again?"
Cher: "No lah, not so bad. I only worked in the wrong ward today. And realised it when my shift was over."

And the more successful photos...Okay I'll only post one 'cause the more successful ones are boring. LOL.

Then we wanted to do some '十连拍' shit. AND NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO WORK BOTH CAMERAS THAT WE HAVE SO THAT WE CAN DO THAT. LOL. So we ended up trying out for like, 1 hour.

And we didn't realise that we were shifting more and more to the side....

We took another 10 million shots and finally decided it was enough. LOL.

And here's a bonus for everyone...

JULIANA'S BUTTCRACK FOR ALL TO SEE! HAHAHA.

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY, GIRL. (:

GOAL FOR FUND 2009.

Sorry guys, another long and wordy entry. LOL.

Its been a week since Goal for Fund ended. What is Goal for Fund, you may ask.

RHB-NTU GOAL FOR FUND 2009 was a nationwide 5/side soccer tournament for charity. Proceeds go to the financially-needy students in NTU. And it was an event that we slogged for many months before seeing it happened.

It really wasn't easy. It was pure hard work. You have people who don't share the same vision and direction as you, you have people who don't feel like they own this event (so it was difficult trying to get them to do work), you have people who don't want to do much but want to complain and stir shit. But then again, you also get people who genuinely want to help, people who want to make this event work, and people who could see what you hope to see at the end. (: Even if it was a handful, it was still heartwarming.

I don't know what I was hoping to feel at the end of the event. Exhilaration? Grateful that everything worked out to make this a successful event? That all these months of working towards the materialization of the event was more than worth it? I think I got so burned out by 7th/8th March that all I felt was relief that its over. I was hoping for something more than just relief but...nope, didn't come. Kind of a pity. But it was a learning experience. Its not something that people can just tell you about and you can understand right away without YOU experiencing it by yourself. I don't think I can put all that I saw and heard and learnt and felt during these few months into words.

In the past 6-7 months, I saw the uglier side of human nature. When it comes to getting work done, it seems like everyone just showed their true form after a few months. When people are tired, all sorts of nonsense came out. When they got frustrated, I got to know what I never thought I'll see from them. People...weren't who I thought they'll be like. In the past 6-7 months, I was showed a tiny semblance of the real world out there. Its kind of harsh and unfeeling, actually. I mean, everyone says that, but I've never seen it for myself until these few months. It can be quite shocking. Charity? Nobody gives a shit about charity. All it matters is how they would benefit. I'm perfectly fine with having the various companies benefit from this event, since we're trying to get something out of them too (so it would make sense for them to think for their company first)... But its kind of discouraging if ALL they care is whether they get anything out of this and they don't give a damn about the nature of our event. That said, I think I've met some really nice people who are very kind. (:

Kat definitely had more shit going on for her, and I feel really helpless when I can't do anything more to help. The feeling is a lot worse because she's one of my closest friends in NTU. Its like, you see your friend having to deal with so much shit, and is already on the verge of collapsing, yet there is nothing you can do or say about it to make her feel better. OMG IT SURE SUCKS LIKE HELL PLEASE. I hated that feeling. A lot. And a certain someone still can say that Kat has double standards just because I'm her close friend. I sure didn't feel like I had any special privileges, you know. I'm kinda curious as to why she would say that. If anything, I feel even shittier BECAUSE I'm her friend so I really can't stand around and do nothing while she tries to do everything on her own. I already felt like shit that I can't do more to help with the situation please. I'll probably stab myself if I really didn't do anything. I admit that whatever I did, its not like someone else can't take over and do it. They might do it even better too, since I did screwed up some stuff. But hey, I really did some work okay. Not a lot, but its still considered work. I wish people will stop saying stuff based on their assumptions when they really do not know anything at all.

I really want to..I don't know, spill all the explicit details and ramble my heart out. But I don't think I can bear the consequences if they happen to google their own name or whatever and find this entry. /: So...maybe I'll rant much later on, and in a friends-only entry.

MANY THANKS TO GLENN FOR PARTICIPATING IN OUR EVENT! (: I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

And thanks, PANG NATALIE, for specially coming down to look see look see our event. You're the best! (: Natalie jjang! Hwaiting! (I have no idea what you should be 'hwaiting!' about, but it just seems like it should come right after. LOL.) LOVE YOU MANY.

And thanks, SERENE LEE, for dropping by with your china husband. HAHAHAA. So happy that you were in the area. (:

A FANGIRL ENTRY.

Disclaimer: This is a fangirl entry, be warned. DHTR (an acronym that I came up on my own) = Don't Have To Read (Hahahaa.)

Memes from _ochre ! (:

Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.

And _ochre gave me...

DBSK
For those who are clueless, DBSK stands for Dong Bang Shin Ki. DBSK is not some DBS bank subsidiary (yes, someone actually thought that), its a korean group who CAN sing, dance, and looks damn good.

I got sucked into this whole korean fandom shit because of Nat. Who got started because of Yi Fen. So who should we blame for this whole thing? Hmm. You can decide. For those who haven't been hit by the hallyu wave, ITS TIME TO START, LOVES. DBSK is a very good place to begin with, simply because they're lolboys. Just go youtube and type DBSK. The power of the boys and the Cassies (their hardcore fans) will bring you over to the dark side. And soon you'll realise how true it is when the boys start singing to you "I got yoooou~~~ Under my skin." Okay this makes the hallyu wave sound like some cult. Hahaha.

Wanderlust
I have no idea why Nat gave me this subject. Sure I acknowledge the presence of wanderlust within me... But so far I don't really have the financial ability to satisfy it. Anyone wants to offer me some job or sponsorship? LOL. But given the chance, I would basically just go anywhere. Even if it means going alone, I don't mind too. (But I might be so blur that I get lost in some country.) As long as I get to see the world. Of course, having some travel buddies would be a plus. Anyone can be my travel buddy as long as you don't mind me and doesn't want to just do shit things like SHOPPING! (: (LOL. Nothing against people who likes shopping...but I think I'll roll my eyes quite a bit if all you want to do is shop.)

Chinese (language)
Right, I shall admit that my Chinese isn't that good actually. So is my English. I'm just 'half-bucket' here and 'half-bucket' there. So in the end, my languages make up a full bucket. Yay. But...I love the Chinese language! As much as the English language. I didn't really like it in the past. It was only after expanding my vocabulary slightly more, and realising that there is the more to the language than I thought, that I started liking it. And yes, the expanding of my vocabulary was due to the exposure to Asian entertainment when I was 18. A little late in appreciating the language...but better late than never right! So now, I scoff at people who think they are too cool for the Chinese language. (LOL.) Its actually more complex and beautiful than you think okay. BAH. HAHAHA.

Inconsiderate idiots
I never fail to show my displeasure outrightly at these idiots. And that is why I seem to be in a perpetual bad mood whenever I take the public transport because it is humanity at its lowest. LOL. You have people taking up two seats because oh wow, their bag or whatever needs a seat too. Why? I have no idea. Maybe its alive. And it has feelings like you and me. It will feel hurt if we have a seat and it has to sit on someone's lap. And then you have people walking through those MRT gantries VVVEEERRRYYY SLLLOWWLLY. OMG. I hope they get clamped and stuck there someday. I will walk through the next gantry and wave goodbye with a huge smile on my face. Oh and some people are just so lost. You can see it through their actions. They can't decide where to walk and seem to hover around indecisively while you're trying to rush past them to get somewhere. Their expressions on their faces say it all too. They just look so lost, as if someone just sent them there through time travel or something. I can go on forever, but I shall stop.

小猪
Current obsession is with the korean entertainment, but okay, I still love him lah. I'm a loyal fangirl. (: I still want to watch his 娱乐百分百 live. LOL. I got started because of one fine day at Lydia's house waiting for our Econs tutor. I think Janesa was there too. She turned to Channel U and there it was, the said show. I was just thinking, oh this guy is quite funny ah (since he's one of the hosts). And then I started to watch that show sometimes when I happened to be home in the evening. OKAY, GOT HOOKED FROM THOSE FEW EPS 'CAUSE HE WAS JUST HILARIOUS.

Okay, Nat gave me like, fangirling subjects to talk about. So this is turning out to be some fangirling entry. 'Cause the next meme, is confirmed plus chopped a fangirling meme. LOL.

1. Provide a picture and name of 3 people.
2. Label which you would Marry, Fuck, and Kill.
3. Comment to this and I will give you 3 people.
4. Post this meme with your answers.

_ochre didn't give me any pictures when she gave me those choices... T.T So I shall look for pictures on my own.

Marry:

Jaejoong of DBSK. My favourite boy now! Yes I would totally marry him because this boy IS DAMN RANDOM AND FUNNY. Plus he can cook! Wow. That's a total plus point. I don't think I'll be bored with him around since he is so FAIL AND LOL. Oh and I won't feel so bad about myself being fail too. (:

One of my fav GIFs...

Fuck:

Well....if I could still choose Jae, I would. Or Yoochun since he has SO MUCH SEX APPEAL. LOL. I don't really want to do Top (of Big Bang). But between Top and Hyunjoong, Top please. Hyunjoong looks too vulnerable. I would have the impression that I'm getting some girl-on-girl action. Erm, not really into that. Or even worse... I might feel like I'm raping him. T.T At least Top looks like a guy. And he has some sex appeal for me. Especially when he's rapping, omg. Can't believe Belle says he's ugly. SIGH. Sure, he has funky eyebrows...but still cute okay.

Kill:

Hyunjoong of SS501. See! Just waiting to be shoot only. Look at that pose. And the mismatched socks. If he's not waiting to be killed, I don't know what he's doing. Probably airing his armpits. LOL. I have a reason for killing him! HE FORCED ME WITH HIS ENDLESS 欠打 REMARKS AND BETS AND STUPID GAMES. Hahaha. One day I couldn't take it anymore so I killed him when I wasn't thinking. Oh Hyunjoong I'M SO SORRY (BUT I LOVE YOU) *and Nat can continue the song for me*.

Well this turns out to take really long 'cause I KEEP GETTING DISTRACTED WITH DOING OTHER THINGS. BAH.

Shall update on Goal for Fund another day! (:

AND RECESS WEEK STARTS.

IT'S THE RECESS WEEK! I wanted to update about the last day of school before recess week, because it was just so 'eventful', but was too caught up in doing other stuff. But here it is, my Friday:

- Some guy called me while I was still sleeping.
"Hello."
"Hi, is this Calvin?"
"Errrr, no?"
"Your company ordered ice right?"
"Noo? I'm not Calvin."
"Oh...but your company ordered some ice. I can't remember what name is it, I left the order form in the office....."
"Sorry, I didn't order any ice and I'm not Calvin."
"Oh. Okay. Sorry."

- My marketing group mate called and asked me to change my slides to fit in what they discussed THE NIGHT BEFORE AFTER ME AND KAT LEFT OUR MARKETING MEETING. I flew into a rage because 1) Could have told me the night before via email what you have discussed so that I could change my slides last night right?? They had the whole night to email us since we only reached home at 11 plus after SF meeting. 2) I stayed up till 3 something trying to add in stuff to my slides. So could have just told me what you all discussed first and saved me the trouble please.

But he was being nice about it lah, so I was fine after a while. LOL.

- I went into my tutorial and realised the whole class decided not to turn up 'cause the tutor was away and some other tutor was supposed to take over. She said 3 people from my class went to her earlier class. As for the rest...I have no idea. LOL. We ended up having a one-to-one tutorial 'cause she asked if I wanted her to give me her points of discussion. Haha, of course I said yes, I was there in school already omg.

- We finally aced our marketing presentation. Like, we finally know what our tutor wants. FINALLY. F.I.N.A.L.L.Y. After two shitty presentations that were 'wrong' and either thinking too much into the question or not thinking enough into the question, she finally told us this would be an A plus plus. Feels good to finally not be a fail group. Now if only this was graded. HAHAHA.

And oh, some person got the wrong number again, this time looking for Adeline from some educentre. Gosh. Why is everyone mixing up phone numbers with mine?? Thank goodness no one has called to order pizza yet. I swear I would scream at the person.

- Went for dinner at Hog's Breath. I didn't know how tired I was, until when I was taking the bus home, and while dozing off, I have to try very hard to keep my mouth closed and not drool. LOL. This only happens when I am super tired. The entire bus ride was a blur 'cause I seriously slept. Usually I would still be conscious of my surroundings. I almost missed my stop.

I thought my recess week will be damn free, but now I look at my schedule, not really. ): I've got 3 SF meetings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Marketing meeting on Tuesday. And I need to do my Spanish assignment, start on my HL304 essay, hopefully catch up a little on my readings (though I am doubting this will happen), do whatever I need to for marketing, and all these while there will definitely be event stuff to settle. I thought I will be quite free, damn it.

Anyway, I decided to reject the INSTEP offer to Monterrey. For those interested, and are still reading this long, mundane post...I turned it down mainly because I don't think I should be spending 10k on somewhere that I only don't mind going, and not absolutely dying to go. (Yes, I can't deal with that idea.) Since 10k is a big amount to me and my family. If I want to try paying for myself, I don't know how I'm going to raise 10k in these 3 months. (Maybe I should apply to get money from my event. HAHHAHA.) And it doesn't feel right to ask my parents to pay the bulk of it when its a luxury for myself. Yes, I know its a rare opportunity and everything, but 机会是自己找的, opportunities can be created, so if I really want to go somewhere, I think I'll just find a way in the future. And if my GPA doesn't fall, I can still try to apply for somewhere less expensive (and I would have saved up more by then, I hope) next semester right?

Also, my dad says he will only let me go if there is someone else going. But like, WTH? How would I know who is going? And his reason is that Mexico is quite dangerous now. Okay, the whole world is saying that. BAH.

And this means that I can actually do things that I want during my 3 months holidays instead of trying desperately to find a job that pays well. Yay. Japanese lessons, anyone?

WHILE AT WORK.

I know I'm supposed to do my marketing stuff now.... But I decided to look see look see as to what kind of jobs are there at jobscentral.sg, and guess what, I did a personality quiz. LOL.

At a Glance:

• Takes time over tasks, sees deadlines as flexible.

• Does not strive to complete tasks, prepared to leave work unfinished. Objective, but may appear detached.

• Empathetic, understanding, helpful and supportive.

• Outgoing and likes the company of people.

• Not concerned with rank, title or position.

• Sees people as nice and friendly, not comfortable to wheel and deal.

• A good supporter of others.

• Orderly, methodical and systematic, takes care to plan in detail.

While at Work...

Ms Tan is prepared to put in hard work moderately but she may at times prefer to work at her own pace.

Time is not a major priority for Ms Tan. She is probably often late for appointments and may keep people waiting. She sees deadlines as flexible and takes her time to do things. She is not time-conscious when planning or organizing activities. Ms Tan may feel stressed and demotivated when she is rushed, and may not deliver results on time.

Ms Tan initiates plans and ideas easily but may not persist with the tasks until completion. She is prepared to leave tasks unfinished; hence she may prefer short-term assignments as she is more likely to complete these tasks. She may lose interest and focus when working on long term assignments.

Ms Tan is able to produce work that is moderately high in quality but she may at times be careless.

Ms Tan is an objective person who is impartial and rational. She speaks factually and often does not involve her own feelings and emotions. She may sometimes be perceived as distant or detached.

Ms Tan is sympathetic and considerate towards others. She is also likely to be tolerant, understanding and forgiving. Ms Tan lends support and offers help readily. She often lends a listening ear to others and is concerned about their welfare. She is also charitable.

Ms Tan is friendly and outgoing. She enjoys the company of her friends and is not shy or awkward when meeting people for the first time. As an extrovert, she fits well into the social groups. She is approachable and likes to make new friends.

Ms Tan selectively forms strong bonds with people although these bonds may not be very deep.

Ms Tan is moderately serious about her responsibilities and selectively takes ownership of her work.

Ms Tan does not care much about how people view her or whether they respect her or not. She focuses on what she wants to do for herself. She is unconcerned with issues of ranks, positions or titles. Status symbols are unimportant for her. She does not draw attention to herself and dresses moderately and simply.

Ms Tan sees people as friendly, reliable and honest. She is trusting and believes what people say. She tends to be unsuspecting of people.s behaviour and motives. She is uncomfortable when she has to wheel and deal.

A good supporter to the people around her, Ms Tan does not desire to lead or influence people. She is uncomfortable taking charge and does not feel the thrill of challenge in leading others. She prefers to responds rather than initiate. She looks to others to provide direction and does not naturally want to persuade or motivate others to take a certain course of action.

Ms Tan is as keen to explore abstract concepts when the topic appeals to her and she is as interested to discuss theoretical issues as the average person.

Being orderly, methodical and systematic, Ms Tan spends considerable time planning ahead and organizing activities. She ensures that programmes are scheduled properly and takes care to plan in detail. Formulating procedures and policies is her forte.

Ms Tan is generally able to express herself although not to a high degree of eloquence.

Well the test questions were like such absolute statements, so sometimes I have to anyhow choose, which explains why the results are so...extreme. For example, I'm not uncomfortable taking charge...but yes I don't feel the thrill of challenge in leading others. And I actually do like to persuade or motivate others to take a certain course of action especially when I feel strongly about it ('cause I like things to go my way and I'm self-centered like that), but yeah I prefer to look to others to provide direction first ('cause I'm passive/bo chup like that). (: Now you get what I mean.

BUT IS THIS DAMN TRUE OR WHAT. HAHAHA. SO SCARY.
