I was away for a short trip to Genting Highlands with my cousins, only 6 of us, despite the many assignments and readings. What to do, I already agreed long time ago, it was too late to back out. But anyway, I was glad I went, 'cause it was fun hanging out with them. Okay, I'll do this in detail, like Belle's birthday surprise entry and Nat's post on her mad rush to finish her essay.

7th March, Friday
9pm   Getting ready to leave the house, since my sister and I are supposed to meet the others at 9.30pm, as the bus will leave at around 10.15pm. One of my cousins, ZH, called and said he reached already. -.- That crazy guy.

9.30pm   My dad has nagged the ears off my sister, one of my cousins who lived a few blocks away, HS, and my ears off while on the way to Beach Road. After we reached, he refused to leave until we've gotten our bus tickets from Grassland, and stayed around to nag somemore. We waited a while for our other 2 cousins, LL and PF. And got nagged even more. I was ready to strangle someone. Anybody.

10.20pm   Yay off we go! In a comfortable bus! But it was so cold. The driver put on the movie '30 Days of Night'. I didn't like the movie.

11.10pm   SHIT major traffic jam at Tuas. All the trucks and buses are like, not moving at all.

12.17pm   Still stuck at Tuas.

8th March, Saturday
1.17am   Still stuck at Tuas. Thank goodness for my friend, S, who's sorta entertaining me via sms. Hmm okay wait. Actually he's not even entertaining me. LOL. I think I was just glad to be occupied. 'Cause the movie was borrriiiing. Yawn. Meanwhile, some aunties from the back of the bus are complaining because they need to use the toilet. Like, really making noise about it. Even though the bus driver can't do anything. He attempts to tell one of the policemen patrolling the area, and that policeman was damn attitude.

Bus Driver: *opens door* Hey, my passengers need to use the toilet. Complaining already ah. Is there anything you can do about it?
Asshole Policeman: What, so now you blaming me is it?!
Bus Driver: No... I'm just saying...
Asshole Policeman: What's with your tone?! Anyway my business ah??
Bus Driver: *closes the door*

The bus driver was asking really nicely lor. Nothing wrong with his tone at all. Stupid policeman.

2.23am   No longer stuck in traffic jam. Moving into M'sia soon. Wow I realised I had been stuck in the stupid jam for like, 3 hours? S. abandons me for sleep. But oh well, going into M'sia already anyway. Hahaha!

The rest is a blur because I kept drifting in and out of sleep. I just know that we only reached Genting in the morning, like, at around 8am? 'Cause I know that it takes 5 hours to reach Genting from the M'sia custom.

Around 9am   Finally we checked into the hotel. Omg the people at the front desk are super slow. We waited until our hair turned white before that guy came back with the relevant documents to sign and the card keys.

10am   Some have washed up, the rest played cards while waiting. LOL. We decided to have dim sum for breakfast!

And on our way to the dim sum restaurant, we were actually stupid enough to go outside to take pictures. It was super duper cold, I was shivering even in my big jacket.


Look at how foggy it is and you will know how freaking cold it was! I heard it was like 16 degrees Celcius out there. Yeah, needless to say, because of my sensitive nose, my nose started dripping and continued throughout the trip. Sucks man. Even PF's Panadol could only stopped it for a while. I had forgotten to pack my medicine for my sensitive nose. ):

After 11am to around 12.30pm   Shopping time. Got ZH's birthday present and ordered a birthday cake.

Around 1pm   Decided to head back to our rooms first to put our stuff down. Then it was discussing whether to go to the theme park, because we weren't sure if the rides will be opened due to the weather. We decided to get on with it. But first we had to wait for LL and PF, the other two female cousins, 'cause they were camwhoring like mad in the other room. We waited for so long, we actually started playing cards again. LOL.

2.20pm   Off to the theme park! (:


And that elephant ride was the only ride that my sister agreed to go on. LOL. We had to persuade her like mad before she agreed.



All 6 of us! Ah I really shouldn't wear my jacket to take picture.

6pm   The fog started coming in again. And it started to rain. Thank goodness we have played whatever we wanted to play already. The 'Flying Coaster' ride wasn't open though. ):

7pm   We decided to go back to the hotel to wash up and slack around first. Played cards again. LOL.

8.45pm   We had wanted to go for dinner before going to KTV, but it was too late for dinner by the time we left the hotel. Some of them had went to book the room for KTV for 9pm. And our booking would get cancelled if we were more than 15 minutes late. Oh well. We smuggled food in. HS, my sister and I went to collect the cake that we had bought earlier, because 10th would be ZH's birthday, and we wanted to celebrate it for him first.

10.30pm   My sister and LL went out of the room, and came back with the cake. It was a surprise. I think ZH actually teared. LOL!

Look at ZH with the poseur sunglasses. He insisted on taking photo with them. Sigh. 17 year old boys.

9th March, Sunday
12am   Went back to the hotel room first, 'cause LL and PF wanted to go casino to look see look see. The rest of us can't go. ):

1.30am   Went to watch 10, 000 BC. Bad bad idea. All of us were fighting to stay awake. After the first hour, my sister and HS couldn't take it anymore, so they went back to sleep. I told myself, I paid for this, I must watch. At around 2.30am, I started to lose the fight too. So I was like dozing off in the theater. ZH and PF fell asleep at parts of the movie too. Only LL survived till the end. LOL. We should have watched a horror film instead, it would keep us all awake. We all wanted to watch the Kelvin Tong movie, Rule #1, but LL don't watch horror films.

3.20am   Movie has ended. We went back to our rooms like walking zombies. LL goes insane and says she wants to play cards. The rest of us went insane too and agreed even though we were damn tired. We didn't sleep much in the bus 'cause the lights and everything kept waking us up, and after the theme park and singing session, I think we really needed to sleep.

4am   Nobody can think straight anymore. So we decided to sleep.

8.30am   The alarm rings. Someone switched it off and we continued to sleep.

9am   My sister and HS comes over (they had slept in the other room since they went back first the previous night, and my sister didn't dare to sleep alone), and found us still sleeping, so they went back to the other room even though they were all ready to go.

9.45am   I decided to wake up and bathe first. The other three are still sleeping. Yes, the four of us had shared two beds. We pushed the two beds together and slept the other way so there's space.

10.20am   We went shopping again while we wait for the two princesses, LL and PF. 

11.30am   Went back to the hotel rooms and packed our stuff. Don't know why, but we started playing Bingo. Like wth right.

1pm   Went for lunch with all our bags. LOL.

2.15pm   Decided to leave already. As we were supposed to report for the bus at 2.30pm.

2.50pm   The bus finally left Genting.

I think the bus stopped somewhere so that we can buy some stuff back, but all of us were sleeping when it stopped. So the next time the bus stopped, it was already 6 plus.

6.35pm   The bus stopped somewhere so that we could grab a bite. We were supposed to be back by 7.05pm, and we were like, 5 minutes late. When we went to look for the bus, it wasn't there. Scared the shit out of us 'cause the bus seemed to have left without us. But turns out, the bus driver drove his bus somewhere else. -.- And he only came back at like, 7.30pm? So idiotic lah. We were all left waiting like idiots.

Around 9.30 or 10pm   Finally we reached Singapore! (: So hungry. My dad came and sent HS, my sister and I to Chomp Chomp for dinner. Haha.

Around 11.30pm   Walked home.
And that was my short Genting trip. My Saturday felt quite long though. I think its because we did so many things and didn't really sleep. Haha.
